Caleta De Fuste, La Tahona Garden Apartments

Pros:

We had a one bedroom apartment which was quite spacious and included a TV (which is great if you speak Spanish) as well as a back door. This came in handy as it got so hot both front & back doors open created a fantastic breeze. Reviews said there was no kettle so we took a travel kettle with us which we didn't need as there was a Pyrex coffee pot which we boiled water in on the 2 ring cooker to make tea in. There is a nice pool with a lot of sun beds but we spent most of our time at the man made beach which was 5 minutes away. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby with a great path which you can use to walk around the coast to see and feed the Chipmunks who don't like bread but love nuts and grapes. There was also a clothes airer on the balcony to dry out clothes and towels which were changed twice in the week we were there. We made use of the safe in the room which cost 9 Euro for the week. The apartments are only about 10 minutes from the airport so consider taking a taxi as the transfer coach we had dropped us off last so we were on the coach for about an hour (after waiting for the bus for an hour at the airport). The weather was great and with the breeze you did not notice the heat.

Cons:

The bed sheets were not changed while we were there and my wife said she had been tempted to wash them and dry them on the balcony. It was the first time she had seen a cleaner mop a floor (balcony) without sweeping it first. There was no air conditioning in the apartment we had so we left the window open and the outside shutter closed.

We booked this all inclusive holiday 4 weeks before departure date. The price was excellent and the apartments were just approx 7 miles from airport. The accommodation was clean and closr to all amenities. Food was average but got better as the week went on but we knew it wasn't 5 star but no mor ethan we expected. Staff were very helpful. All in all, would recommend highly
