The guide, was thoroughly knowledgeable on every thing to do with the mountain. It's peoples, it's history, the flaura and fauna. His general knowledge was also impeccable, despite being tired out every evening, I felt allot better after the week of trecking up the mountains. Upmarket I guess I'd call it, but not posh. There was no dragging muddy boots through that place. A nice change for a student.

Mountain Bug is a good free site for any info on the Pyrenees (history, places to go, wildlife, amazing pictures etc.), and the best walking and activity holidays available in the French Pyrenees.

The house is a traditional mountain village residence lovingly renovated. The rooms are en-suite and large. The food was outstanding. We came back from walking to afternoon tea, and later a three course meal with wine and coffee. We also made use of the bar, Sauna and garden!
