Poor Customer Service And Communication
rented a samsung phone for a few years from MM. got a phone off a freind so canceled my subscription and returned phone in November then received an email saying there was a £148 charge due to damage. it said click on the link to contact them despite trying to do that the link didn't work so I went on chat box and was told to ring bit when I tried i could never get through I eventually found contact details so emailed them and a few days later received an email woth photos of the damage and message sayin I could pay the money in instalments over 12 months. despite i wasnt happy abpit the charge especially as they were advertising the same phone refurbished on MM for £189 i realised i had made a mistake renting in the 1st place as this is obviously how they make mord money out of you but wanted ot over so emailed back to say can I go ahead with the instalments. that was on the 27th nov and I wondered today 2nd Dec to find they have taken the full.amount out of my account. a costly lesson learned but I won't make the mistake again and advise people to stay clear of renting from MM

Do Not Sell To Music Magpie
DO NOT SELL TO MUSIC MAGPIE
I am posting today to warn others after a two-week ordeal and the poor customer service received to date.
I send an Xbox series X paid additional to be covered (over £150) by Royal Mail Special Delivery guaranteed by 1pm next day, delivered on 13th of November at 10:00am only heard from MM on 14th late afternoon day and to my disappointment that the controller was missing and reducing their offer from £286 to £26 (which just cover the postage), after a vague investigation the supposedly misplaced controller was no longer missing but no explanations, apologies or compensation for how this has been dealt with. I was only told to accept the offer of £26 and that the difference will be sent manually. After clarifying the amount and process, I followed the instructions and MM have sent 2 partial payment but still short of £23.40 and when I queried this, their answer was “There will no amount that will be processed.” I have gone back to them and no one is now replying back. MM does not give me any choice that to take it further to small claim court.
I decided to sell my kid’s Xbox to MM after previously buying 3 mobile phones and felt they were a respectable business and like the sustainability element but I have really changed my mind and worried the phones have purchased have been bought in the very same conditions for them to make ridiculous profit. The Xbox I have sold is currently trading at £444.99.
I genuinely hope this review helps others and not make the same mistake I have made.

Ok If Its Good, If A Problem Don't Expect Communication
I have purchased from MM a few times in the past. When it works its great.
However if you have a problem, there mode of communication is entirely by email, you cannot speak to a human and there is no complaints procedure or escalation route or if you are dissatisfied.
I have grown weary of trying to have a conversation with them after over 5 weeks of emailing and thought it easier to warn others.

Music Magpie Is A Discussding Company
Telling lies is normal for this company. Sent a phone in excellent condition. Worth over £150. It took over 2 weeks for them to tell me it doesn't work properly and the phone had a cracked screen. They have told me they can give me £6 for the phone. My daughter sent her a apple phone they told her the same. When they sent it back. My daughter took it to a tech shop that gave her £184. Please don't use music magpie.

Seller Beware
Sent them an Apple computer via the courier service they recommmended. Item arrived damaged but music magpie will not investigate so I can therefore claim for compensation from the courier service for damage during transit. Instead have decided to imply that I tried to commit fraud by deliberately sending them a damaged product when stating it was in good condition. Unfortunately didn’t take photos prior to packaging as used Music Magpie a number of times without any problems albeit through Royal Maill.
Did point out to them that the taking of photos is not mentioned in their packaging instructions and they do guarantee insurance but to no avail!!
Loyalty or integrity means nothing to them!!!
Will not be using them again!!!
But make sure u take photos as apparently your word as a long standing customer holds for nothing!’

They Damaged My Iphone
Terrible from start to finish. Took 3 days for them to confirm delivery after being sent secured next day. They told me they didn’t have it and raised an investigation. Posted a review on trust pilot as they were so rude. Then someone they managed to find it but reduced the price from £430 to £127 due to a damaged and cracked screen. Funny because non of the photos I have from sending it show any damage, showed no damage in the last two years of use and customer service confirmed the package was fine and undamaged on arrival. Amazing how that happened after my review. Do not use the company it’s a sham. The information they give you on the website isn’t the information in the emails or from customer service. They mislead from day one and now have caused stupid amounts of damage to a great condition phone
Sold A Defective Phone
Sold a phone, a year later the phone was reported stolen and completely blocked and unusable.
Staff extremely unhelpful and useless. NOT worth buying refurb - will never ever do this again.
Customer service - complete loser of a human being and just a useless waste of breath.

Delayed Delivery And Rather Poor Customer Service
1. Parcel Dispatch and Tracking:
- The refurbished Iphone bought was dispatched on June 17th, as indicated by the tracking information.
- The expected delivery date was June 19th, according to the email I received.
2. Stuck in Transit:
- Unfortunately, the phone has been stuck in the same location for over two weeks.
- Despite contacting your customer service multiple times, I have received no meaningful assistance.
3. Inadequate Customer Service:
- Agents have consistently advised me to wait an additional 7 days, which is nonsensical given the situation.
- When I explained the dispatch date and the prolonged transit delay, they failed to address the issue effectively.
4. Manager's Promise Unfulfilled:
- I spoke with a manager who promised to investigate and update me by June 26th.
- Regrettably, there has been no communication or resolution.
5. Refund Request Ignored:
- When speaking to the manager I requested a refund due to the breach of contract obligations.
- The response from the manager about him having to ask "when and IF a refund was due” is unacceptable.
6. Loss of Trust:
- As a result of this experience, I no longer trust MusicMagpie or its customer services.

Lost My Item, No Explanation, No Compensation
I sent a parcel of old Apple products, they acknowledged receipt of the cheaper items but “lost” the iPhone they had valued at higher offer price. I sent exactly as they asked, their courier acknowledged receipt and they did not indicate anything missing for 5 days, produced reports on other items then declared more expensive phone “missing”. They have asked for evidence (photos have been provided of item, box and courier receipt) but they are trying to fob me off. Their insurance and guarantee are evidently useless. I would not trust them again.
Q&A
Hi, can anyone help me please? Can someone tell me which 'free' courier music magpie uses? I left my parcel in a 'safe place' i.e my front porch (at the end of a long drive way) and it was taken on the correct day. However there was no calling card left with tracking details. I didn't worry too much at the time but it's now been three weeks and magpie say they haven't received it and won't help as I do not have a tracking number. They say to call the courier directly but I don't know who that is! Can anyone help please?
