Very Worried Customer

Since I ordered and paid for the Fridge/Freezer and Dishwasher on 26th January I have been unable to contact this company,despite promising quick delivery.I suspect I have lost my money.

Don’t Buy From This Scam Company

Don’t buy from this company. It looked like a legitimate company when I was searching for my tumble dryer. I give him 10 out of 10 for the fake order number and receipt. However when I phoned to ask where my washer dryer was all I got was a recorded voice message telling me that due to the corona virus they could not take calls. Perhaps the virus can travel down phone lines! The person just refers you to his web site to look at the contractible information. I don’t like this when it happens to me so when I get my hands on the nasty man who set this thing up he will be very sorry! I’m caring for my elderly father of 93 who is suffering with dementia and my wife has just given birth to my baby son so we wanted the dryer to help cope with all the laundry we now have. I’m in the process of reporting this to the on-line fraud police. I’m also going to try to track this person down and have a quite word with him.

Fraudulent Trading

In common with very large number of other reviewers I have paid money for goods not then received, and have been unable to get anything other than standard automated response via e-mail, and unconvincing answer machine message via phone. The sheer volume of similar experiences as held in other reviews on this and other sites. At this point seems only right that the directors of this private limited company should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. There was a similar case not so long ago in the North of England with the company directors there receiving lengthy jail terms.

I'm fortunate in that I paid by credit card and pretty sure I'll get my money back through section 75 claim, but that's not really resolving the issue fully. I see they've very recently updated the website to very clearly state "all orders will be fulfilled within 14 days or a full refund will be offered", so that's not true, certainly not in my case and from other reviews that seems common place. There's also an apology on the site for inconvenience caused by current high demand now. Again that doesn't ring true as it's not really believable the demand is such that customers cannot be kept informed of delivery delays, and it's impossible to contact any representative of the company.

Look up also companies house information and get the alerts. I rang and spoke to him and he claimed he was nothing to do with it - days later he's been added back in as a director.

No Longer Trading

I made a purchase through Google's advertisement that lead me to this site power direct.co.uk. The site is stating it is still in business same as the phone number which blames covid-19... The site has January sales available which is very misleading as from what I have read this company is no longer trading. Rest assured if you have made a purchase, phone your bank 15 days after as that is legal time frame. Then your bank will be able to step in and get your money back. Spread the word!

I Have Purchased A Tv But Have Never Received It.

I have purchased a TV but have never received it. They ignore simply my email, phon calls any my request for cancellation. It is disgusting how they use Covid-19 as an excuse. They should be reported to the relevant authorities. Do Not buy from this company. It costs your money, time, and your mental health!

Absolutely Should Not Be Trading.

Keep clear of having any dealings with these charlatans, don't be fooled by the price of the item, they don't have it! After a long time waiting for my item, i have been told they don't have it, and don't know when it will be stocked, but they have my money. Now getting it back is going to be a problem, as it took weeks for them to respond to 1 of 4 emails, and they don't have a telephone number anymore, due to covid, have a feeling this company will fold.

Stay Away From This Company

Look at all the reviews. There is a common theme. You buy a product that is advertised as being in stock, in my case a dishwasher, you pay in full. They provide an invoice then send out automated emails, stating the item is not in stock and will take up to 14+ days to arrive. You cannot speak to anyone and when you cancel the order you are informed by an automated email it will take 7-10 days to refund your money. This does not happen!!!!

In my case I have contacted the bank and provided evidence of their practice with the many supporting negative reviews. I am still waiting for the bank to investigate.

If that fails, I will be contacting the Leeds Fraud department as there is extensive evidence.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY

I should have read reviews like this one before buying a dishwasher from this company! I will be contacting Trading Standards, as I also believe this is a totally fraudulent set-up.

Take Your Money, No Goods

Ordered item that said it was in stock, after purchasing it became special order with no date given. Recycling of old machine was mentioned during checkout but then was told this was not possible.

So cancelled order and got a reply saying they will refund within 10-12 working days, needless to say after 12 working days there has been no refund.

You are unable to phone and emails are rarely replied to.

Avoid them at all cost!

Avoid This Company!

Power Direct are operating their business to completely distance themselves from their customers and retain their money. They do not respond to emails, claim that the email addresses they provide on their website are actually unmanned so there is no means of emailing them and no longer take calls to the telephone numbers on their website.

My case is that I ordered and immediately paid for a Hotpoint fridge/freezer on 25th August for £339.97 that was allegedly in stock. I subsequently enquired whether they provide a service to remove the old fridge/freezer and they responded promptly the next day that they didn't, which was fine. I contacted them again on 2nd September enquiring of the delivery date and received a response the same day saying the model was out of stock and that delivery would be 14+ working days. On 19th September I cancelled my order as it had been 25 days we have been without a fridge/freezer and could not wait any longer. I received a prompt reply on 21st September acknowledging the cancellation and that I would be refunded in 7-10 workings days and nothing has happened since: no contact, no response, no refund. I have repeatedly emailed and called them on their telephone numbers (one goes to voicemail saying it isn't manned; the other rings out then they hang up). 28 days after committing to refund me, absolutely nothing and avoidance of all efforts to contact. Avoid. Best thing is that they go out of business.
