I bought a vax power 9. Not the best thing I ever did. I've had a vax Hoover before and it was very good, so I brought another one. It did'nt pick up anything from my hard floors let alone carpets. It is extremely heavy to push around on carpets. My biggest complaint is their customer service, they couldn't care less. I complained so many times and they did nothing. In the end after 7 months we did the best thing and binned the Hoover. It's not until you have to complain about something that you actually see what vax as a company is all about.

I had to contact VAX direct after the machine they sold me in June 2012 gave me electrical burns, an electric shock, head injuries and soft tissue damage. The dangerous machine is the POWER 6 COMPLETE. I did contact VAX direct following being injured and I is plainer what had happened to me and that I was fearfull that this model of machine could potentially have killed me or anyone else that is using this type of machine! Their representative didn't seen too concerned about the dangerous fault although she did apologise for my electrocution and burns due to one of their machines and as a good will gesture they won't be charging me £3.99 admin fee for the replacement machine. I asked VAX to take the machine back to help save someone else from being electrocuted but they didn't want it back, I was told to keep it for spares or throw it away after cutting off the plug so no one else suffered electrocution and electrical burns. Hoover review 

I was waiting for the arrival on my vax Hoover, I am a busy mum of three with dog, cat and rabbit so a pet Hoover seemed my ideal Hoover to review 

On receiving the Hoover I opened it up and started to put it together, the instructions for this where very easy to understand, I was surprised I needed a small screwdriver but I had one at home so all was ok 

Overall it took me about 10 minutes to put it together and get hoovering :):)

I was surprised with how much it sucked up and with just doing the front room the see though dirt collector was 1/4 full of hair and dirt, I didn't even think the carpet was that bad!!! There is a really easy switch to turn it to low carpet, high carpet or hard floor, I used it for the laminate in the hall and the kitchen, really great suction, and did a great job 

The only concern I have it that it is a bit heavy so for older people this isn't be a problem, I am pregnant too so I had to get my husband to carry it up the stairs and aslo it is very noisy but I have got use to that.  other than that I can't find a fault with it, the carpet looks so much cleaner and it's so easy to empty and packs away very compact so can be stored in a small cupboard or in a corner :)

  The pet tool is great for the sofa and stairs and picks up so much hair, we down allow the dog on the sofa but I was amazed on how much hair was on it!

Going to use it on the beds too 

I have had 2 VAX cleaners but this is far the best I have ever used, light, great suction, easy to use and the actual floor part that moves along the floor with the brush is slightly narrower and much less taller than others - so you can get under the sofa and other places much easier. I bought 2 brilliant flexible extensions which when combined with the hose on the vacuum I can leave the vacuum at the bottom of the stairs and go further than the top. Really easy to clean and much less noisier than others... this vacuum is simply brilliant!" Excellent for pets and if you have cats and when they are shedding their winter coat and you get all cat hair everywhere then this VAX cleaner is perfect for you. I would say all pets but all I have is cats and not dogs so I can only really say for cats.

I was lucky enough to trail one of these recently and I have to admit, it is really good. Came in bits and I thought it wouldn't be sturdy as it was only put together with 3 screws, but don't be mislead, it is really strong and powerful. I have a long haired GSD and it makes quick work of cleaning up after him. You can raise or lower the height distance from the floor, ideal for when you move around the house from hard wood floors to carpets. It is quite loud but as it does such a good job of cleaning you don't need to keep going over the same spot and the hoovering gets done alot quicker. I particularly like the really long power lead, no need to unplug when moving into another room. The hose will reach easily from the bottom stair to the top without loss of power. I would recommend this hoover to anyone who has a pet and the hairs get everywhere, unlike some hoovers it actually sucks the hairs to the hoover and doesn't blow them away. The turbo tool is excellent on tough embedded hairs, it cleans really well on the furniture sucking out the dust and dog hair with ease. 10/10 for this hoover

The Power 9 was easy to assemble ... It took me about 5 minutes and it was ready to go. It looks really good and is certainly robust.With its Single Cyclone technology (2300 watts) and 330 air watts - it is certainly the most powerful vacuum cleaner I have ever owned., The suction is incredible which means you do not have to keep vacuuming over the same spot repeatedly (once is enough) and if you have any pets in the house, then this is a great tool for removing all those stubborn pet hairs on the floors and furniture. Therefore, it is a really time-saving device. Having the HEPA filtration system is really important for anyone who suffers from allergies or asthma (as I do) as this really does help to significantly reduce any allergens.I really like the extra tools which have all sorts of uses for all over the house (curtains, upholstery, etc) and the 4.2 m stretch hose is an added plus as you can get from the top of a 3 storey house all the way to the bottom without having to mess about with different power-points along the way. Best of all, is the large capacity chamber which can hold a lot and means you do not have to empty the chamber as frequently. My old cylinder vacuum cleaner had to be emptied virtually every time I used it and sometimes had to be emptied during a vacuuming session. Therefore, this is a great time saver and makes for an easier life ....! The Power 9 handles well and is easy to manoeuvre about furniture and also reaches right up to the skirting boards. It is a little heavier than my last cleaner but, all in all, I think that I will get used to it in no time at all. I would certainly recommend this and as an added plus, a 2 year guarantee is also included...

Despite appearing daunting at first glance, the assembly of the vacuum cleaner was quick and straightforward. After locating the well hidden on/off switch, I was amazed at the amount of dirt to be extracted from the rug in the living room. The suction is powerful and the inclusive tools are excellent. I especially like the rotating brush nozzle, which does a superb job getting cat hair off the upholstery. A nice long cord means that there is less mucking around moving between sockets whilst hoovering the house. The dust container is very easy to empty and clean as is the filter.

The Vax could benefit from the addition of a carrying handle, but this is a minor sacrifice to make for such a great cleaner. All in all, an excellent vacuum.

For 20+ years I have been a fan another bagless vacuum that is until my new VAX Power 9 Total Home was delivered last week.

After unpacking and reading the very clear assembly instructions my Vax was ready to go in less than 5 minutes. Hubby was amazed that I had put it together without his help. Just three screws and its ready to go.

First off I decided to try the crevice tool I removed the cushions from the sofa and started her up. OH my goodness how dirty am I. My three seater gave up dust and crumbs like you wouldn't believe, it would have been very embarressing if anyone else had been doing the job for me.

Next was the stairs the long tube was great and reached the top of the stairs easily, after this I did the rest of my carpets downstairs and was very pleased with the result.

The long extra long cable is great I plugged into my hall socket and vacuumed the whole of downstairs without having to use another socket.

The dirt canister is very easy to remove just a press of the button an it separates from the machine.

With a dial for high, low and hard floor cleaning it saved me the job of having to sweep my kitchen floor which is another bonus.

The only thing I can say against the machine is that it is noisy which does not bother me as I am deaf but seemed to annoy my husband.

In my opinion it is the best cleaner I have owned and highly recommend it.

I have owned many vacuum cleaners over the years and in my opinion, this has the best suction of any machine I have tried.

Ideal for pet owners, both long and short hairs are quickly picked up by this machine, both when using it normally and also when using with the included tools - so great results on stairs.

This machine has a lovely long flex, so i was able to hoover from top to bottom of the stairs without having the hassle of unplugging and plugging in again.

I found this machine quick and easy to put together and was up and running with it in about 5 minutes.

I also found the extra tools which were included, easy to connect.Having a very painful condition i found the weight of this hoover easier to push around then any other hoover that i have used in the past.I am not really able to say anything negative about this hoover and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I took delivery of my Vax Power 9 Total Home Bagless vacuum cleaner about a week ago and wish i had got one earlier.

Open the box and pieces go together very easily and is fixed with only 3 screws, i didn't even need the easy to follow instructions

10 minutes and i was cleaning, and a great job it did, its light and very powerful, has a very large capacity cylinder and has 4.2 meters of cable so can reach nearly all of my ground floor area without having to unplug and replug and the hose easily reaches the top of my stairs.

It comes with all the tools you could ever need including a very useful crevice tool(ideal for getting down armchairs sofa's ect) and my favorite, a turbo tool, a rotating brush for use with the hose(very clever)

Excellent cleaning power which not only you will notice but gives results that even family and friends notice

All in all the best vacuum for the money that i have owned and would recommend it to anyone
