The Village Fryer, Kessingland

We have always had fish and chips from village fryer. All the time we have stayed in Kessingland. ( which is a lot ) Always been lovely. Except for the last two times. Fish was very over cooked and had to take batter of. Tonight it was just disgusting. It was as if it had been cooked and reheated. Left from lunch time and put it again to fry. Left a terrible taste in my mouth. Will not be eating from there again .

At the seaside so wanted Fish & Chips we originally were going to go to Southwold but saw the signs off the A12 to this place. Got a meal deal, small fish, regular chips and a drink.

Not busy so service okay

The fish was tasty but very greasy and the chips were just okay.

Next time we'll go to Southwold.

I do not recommend this chippy at all, the fish was watery and yellow, the scampi was all batter and hardly no filling. The chips was hard and soaked in grease. We was unable to eat our meal because the food was so awful. This has happened on a few occasions now so It wasn't just a one off. The food is overpriced for the value of the food. The service is great, I just wish the food was of standard. I refuse to go to this chippy again.

a fantastic chip shop, quality food, clean! and very nice friendly staff,you must try their huttsons sausage and chips yum yum this is the best chippy in lowestoft area by a mile

The Village Fryer, Kessingland - I am having my kitchen renovated I have no power or water, I got a takeaway for myself an my wife, chicken and mushroom pies with chips. The shop is like a mens' urinal, no where to sit, the two serving people one a girl and the other a lad,. The food was inedible, we threw it away, half cooked chips soaked in grease and the pies, with a rock hard pastry and a square inch of filling. I will never use them again, no wonder people go abroad for decent food an service.

I like The Village Fryer, Kessingland because of the huge variety of food there is.

Always fresh food and clean oil, and there is never too long to wait.

The Village Fryer in Kessingland is one of the better fish 'n' chip shops in the Lowestoft area.
