Expensive, Salty Food

A Christmas Do, that was enjoyed because of the company. The set menu starters were of average standard and the main course was thrown out at us. None of these dishes were tasty. In fact the meat dishes were over salted, which drowned all chance of delivering food with different flavours. I asked if we could have a less salty lamb dish, they did this immediately, but to my disappointment there was no change. Anokhi pen in large numbers of customers like animals to the slaughter who a stunned with a bill that does not reflect the service or food you'd expect for this price!!!

Well What Can I Say. My Wife And I Visited The Ano

Well what can I say. My wife and I visited the Anoki Restaurant as we fancied a change, that was a guarantee!

We arrived early and promptly seated the service was good to start!! The food arrived which lacked flavour and presentation, service became slow and sloppy. After our main arrived we had to send it back as it was so lack of spice a baby could have eaten it. Once the main was served that was it! they had forgotten we where there! Just ignored as the staff hoovered around us. After 40mins of asking staff for the dessert menu and the bill we had to get up and go to the bar to finally pay. The manager was rude and implied we did not want to pay and used it as an excuse. My advice avoid this restuarant at all cost much better ones around!!

I found this review not helpful because he must have gone into the wrong restaurant.

The Anoki Restaurant, Derby Has Very Good Service

The Anoki Restaurant, Derby has very good service and atmosphere. We were accomodated into a very busy restaurant despite no previous booking.

I wasn't happy with the appearance of my pickle, The waiter took it away and brought back a tired looking set! We gave up on that and did not touch it again. The food was not quite up to the standard we had previously tasted there. We were very dissappointed

I enjoyed my first experience and thought food was good. However, my last experience wasnt good at all! It was a mega dissapointment and I do not think I will be in a hurry to visit again.

What A Great Time Myself And My Friends/family Had

What a great time myself and my friends/family had with Anoki on Thursday 16th October 2008. We were there for a 60th Birthday and we were well taken care of. Excellent staff, beautiful surroundings, gorgeous delicious food and very relaxed and comfortable ambiance. I also love the layout of the table. The staff are fantastic and a 5 star rating goes out to you all. Thank you for looking after us all. I will highly recommend you to all my friends.

Although Anoki is more expensive than your average Indian restaurant it is well worth the money for an outstanding dining experience

If You Want Quality Of Food Then It's Not The Best

If you want quality of food then it's not the best in Derby but it's different, and is good choice if you want to impress your party.

Re: Lighting - Even Though The Lights Are Sometime

Re: lighting - even though the lights are sometimes dimmed a little later in the evening, I would like to see them dimmed all the time. It's definitely easier on the eye.

Anoki Restaurantin Derby Is A Must For Diners Look

Anoki Restaurantin Derby is a must for diners looking for something special. From the moment you walk up the marble steps you are made to feel very welcome by the enthusiastic and friendly staff. The Decor of the restaurant is amazing with beautifully Guilded ceilings and a very modern yet warm atmosphere. They even have a continuous projected Bollywood movie running in the background. The staff pamper to your every need as they present one beautiful dish after another. I live in London and have been to some good restaurants but this place tops them all. Every once in a while when I feel the need for a good Indian Meal, I have to endure the long journey up to Derby. But the end result is worth it. This is not just a restaurant it is an experience and it is highly recommended.
