Used the service for calls to Canada and it couldn't have been easier. Connect via a local rate number (free on my mobile), enter the international number and away you go. Rates in use matched those advertized and each time I had a good clear line. Easy to top credit up using PayPal too.

The only thing I noticed was on long calls I got disconnected after 90 minutes each time, but that's really not a big deal as I was able to reconnect immediately on each occasion.

Would definitely recommend!

I was about to call a travel agent on my PAYG and was worried I could have ended up on the line for a long time to their 0203 number. Thought I'd try Planet numbers after finding their website and advertised 2p a minute calls. Checked my balance before the call £28.77 and after the 3 minute call it was £26.91! £1.86 for a 3 minute UK call to a non premium rate number was not what I was expecting.

I was attracted by their adverts for cheap calls. At the time of writing 1.5p / minute compared with BT 20p/minute for calling Canada.

However I ended up paying 12p per minute for my call. And surely Planet numbers are fully aware that this is likely to happen.

In the small print they have the get out "plus your phone company's access charge". There was no indication that the access charge was likely to make the call almost 10 times the rate they were advertising.

To my mind this is deceptive advertising.

My wife is in Jamaica for a family wedding, and I am very glad I found this service. I am paying about a quarter for lanline to mobile calls than I would be using Virgin - even with one of their international packages. Each time I have called I have got through straightaway and with a very clear line. I am very impressed. No need to buy any card or suchlike, just billed for the calls with my normal Virgin bill.

Thanks to this service we've now managed to slash our telephone bill massively which is a great help to us, in fact it also helps provide a better service to our clients as we can now contact them more often without fear of crippling bills. I would thoroughly recommend this service to any company who is making calls abroad often and is looking for the most cost-effective way of doing so!

All their rates are available easily on the website and when we weren't entirely sure how the service worked there was a helpful friendly voice in customer services on the other end of the phone, which is more than you get from a lot of other companies.

The Site information on calls to UAE is totally inaccurate on call rate and contact number. Call rate is over 50% understated.

I guess a Company who cannot afford to keep their Site up-to-date, maybe cutting corners elsewhere too ? Or is it a deliberate Sales tactic ?

I have a travel agents and planet numbers was promising cheap call to mauritius, seychelles and maldives... however after checking my bills i noticed that i have been charge 3 times more they said on the tin. I dont recommend Planet numbers unless you prefer getting rip off.

I've been using one of the 10p a minute numbers to call Italy and when you call the planet number number the automated message voice clearly says: "this call will cost you 10p a minute." However when I recently went on to check my itemised bill I discovered that I had been charged 33p a minute! The company are liars! Never using this again and will tell as many people as possible I know to never use planet numbers.

Stay away from them!

I have read how highly you are rated as a ethical, courteous company and I love your cheap call prices and not having to sign up to a contract.

I was with 18866 - who billed me twice in December and then wrote a letter saying that my bank had said that I disputed the payment of my last bill (it wasnt even due yet and was automatically deducted from my current account each month) and that 18866 would be blocking their service. One is dealing with a nameless, faceless, non-contactible 'entity' with 18866 who can treat you as they will and there is non-one home when you want to dispute unfair charges..They tell you to pay up and then they'll negotiate - not verbally or by email but by sticking a payment order in front of you ... that is all the contact!! They eventually refunded one of the double charges they had levied in December, but all this confusion has sent me looking elsewheres and with your company I do not mind keying in the code and then when asked the relevant telephone number ... It is clean cut and dried and - cheap and paid for via BT - No contracts, no confusion and double-billing - I shall certainly recommend Planet Numbers to anyone whom I know phones overseas! Sorry for sob story, but it is just as well for you to know what your competitors are doing to anger their customers - guess you know already and that is why you provide a better service.
