Just Read The Previous Review And Even Though Some
Just read the previous review and even though some of the remarks are valid, i can not complain about this Bissel. I've had this one now for just under 2 years, and find it does what i ask of it. It IS heavy, if you detatch the grab and go part to do the stairs, then you will notice a difference to some of the cheaper models. The hose IS fairly stiff, but then it is built to last. The filters do get clogged, but isnt that because it's sucking all the cr@p up from your carpet!
Its easy to clean anyway, just one easy to push pushy thing and the bit that has all the dust just slides away.
If i wanted to waiste money, i'd buy a Dyson. If i wanted a tool to do the job, and do it well, i'd buy this hoover.
Bissel 3760-K grab and go hoover.
(PS ideal if youve got pets!!)

This Is Quite Simply The Worse Vacuum Cleaner We H
This is quite simply the worse vacuum cleaner we have ever owned. Having had 2 Dysons before we thought we'd have a change. What a mistake. This one is very heavy compared to the dyson and whilst the detatchable front is a really good idea, the hose is so rigid that you have to physically keep hold of the part you detached otherwise it keeps falling over. An awful lot of heat also comes from it.
The dust collecting container is far more difficult to remove and empty and it fills really fast. The filter also gets clogged very quickly and you notice a big drop in suction.
Although its 1800w sometimes it just won't pick things up and you end up going over the same piece of carpet half a dozen times.
All in all I'd have a Dyson anyday. In fact we're going to get one now!

This Cleaner Is Highly Recommended. I Wanted An Up
This cleaner is highly recommended. I wanted an upright that would be light enough for me to carry up and down stairs. This cleaner is is quite heavy as single unit but divides into two parts with no effort at all, so I can carry each part separately very easily indeed. The very minor inconvenience is easily outweighed by the fact that in all other respects this vacuum cleaner is fantastic. I replaced my Dyson Animal, cylinder cleaner. This was only a year old, but I could not take any more! It didn't pick up fluff, and bits off the carpets, it was worse than useless as a cleaner and had a very nasty habit of collapsing the cleaner pipe and trapping my finger. Easily the worst cleaner I have ever owned. A complete waste of money!
My new Bissell is brilliant, picks up dirt with one or two sweeps over the floor. The hose and attachments are readily used and always to hand, with the smaller head attachment on a handy clip on the handle. I love the way the body detaches for cleaning the stairs or awkward areas, it literally is one click of the handle and you're away, putting it back is just as simple, it clicks back onto the base, it doesn't even need to be switched on or off to change it.
I wouldn't waste any more money on the Dyson alternatives, the Bissell does what it says, it cleans your carpets!
I also am considering changing from a Dyson (DC07) and have seen the Bissell and wondered what it was like to use. Sigurd1's comments answered my questions admirably.
