Overpriced Rubbish

Overpriced, over rated under performing rubbish which discharges in a very short time leaving you unable to clean a reasonable area, and this has made James Dyson a very rich and greedy capitalist by producing an overly expensive and under performing product whose life time is 3 to 4 years. Shame on you Mr greedy dyson for ripping off the public just to fatten your pockets whilst taking your jobs outside of the UK. GREEDY RUBBISH DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, seek better quality elsewhere.

Best House Purchasetool Ever

I read the previous reviews by people and it leaves me baffled why people are negative. I have an average house and no problems what so ever. I have owned dysons since they first emerged in the mid 90's. I have a dyson in each of my rental properties. I believe that there is no reason for tenants to live in a dirty house as the dyson cleans it perfectly. Assomeone said in a review, they have to clean the filter every two cleans. Well, they must live in filthy conditions and are very dirty people. I clean my filter when it blocks, but about once every six months. I clean every week, sometimes twice and no problems with the filter. I hoover all my carpets very slow and it picks up every bit of dust hair and bits of fluff. I can say that my carpets are very very clean. I have 5 dysons in total in my home and four rental properties. They never break apart from the belts when the hoover gets jammed. Once done though, you learn from that mistake and avoid potential hazards that will break your belt.

There is nothing difficult or poor about the dyson hoover. It is users who cannot use a simple tool and blame the tool as it is the user at fault. As i said, i have 5 in total working perfectly.

Why would someone use a henry. My son in law, swears by his henry vacum. He cleaned his carpets one sunday and i followed up with my dyson to prove the better working of the dyson. He actually went and bought one that week. I filled three quarters of the cylinder from the lounge carpet only after he used his henry on it.

Clean your mattress with it too. Gets all that dead skin and belly button fluff out. Peace of mind when your sleeping and no little bed bugs and mites crawling in your ears.

Another complained of customer service. I called once only and had an answer very quickly. Parts easy to order online. arrived within days.

Not For The Pet Owner

When it is working properly it is excellent, but it is constantly failing in its efficiency due to hairs off the dog stopping the brush from spinning..It is advertised as ideal for pets .

Overpriced and does not do what it says on the box...

Great Suction, Sturdy, Long Lasting!

I have had this now for 6-7 years and still going strong! Within the first 5year guarantee I needed the main hose replacing once which was sent out to me fast and very simple to replace myself. Unfortunately it has ripped again but this was in the 7th year of having the dyson and nothing else ever needed replacing. So really good compared to other Vaccume but the hose could do with being replaced by longer lasting, or stronger ones. As I said the first hose lasted me 4 years till it needed replacing which was replaced for free under the guarantee but the second lasted just 2-3 years! Replacement parts have just a 12months guarantee on them which I feel should be about 2-3years guarantee on them. It has never failed me on anything else ever! Bottom hose is still in great condition as other hve posted on here theirs has constantly ripped, but mine has never, mybe they have scraped it against things being rough with it???? I have now upgraded simply because I wanted to try out th ball dyson which has arrived today, (DYSON DC41). I think it may actually be harder to manoeuvre than the older types?! But mybe I just need to get used to it and then I will find it easier? It picks up fantastic though! Even though my DC07 picks up good, I hoovered my front room with th DC 07 and carpet looked clean, I then used the new DC41 straight after in the front room and there was LOADS of dust and dog hairs inside! This model has the strongest suction power of them all and I can actually see it lifts th carpet a bit which no vaccum has done before, and I have a decent thick carpet so just shows how powerfull the suction of the dc41 is! I would still recommend the dc07 to anyone, but if u hav a dog or cat, and you still see some hairs, either clean out under th Hoover to remove all clogged hairs, which will improve how it picks up, but if u really are a clean freak and want to know its completely clen then the DC41 is definitely the best option with the most powerfull suction!

Shoddy Parts That Break Annually And Poor Customer Service.

Bought the DC07 and was initially impressed with its performance. Unfortunately it has had numerous problems. I have had to replace the small palstic bottom hose twice. The motor packed up after 4 years and had to be replaced. It was smoking so I switched it off. As it was near Christmas I had to wait 2 weeks for an engineers appointment which was Christmas week. They couldnt guarantee he would have a replacement motor if needed and may have to orde the part so it would be well into the new year before the vacuum was fixed even although they agreed it was the motor and engineers carry out a replacement motor each day if he had used this they would have to reorder it was impossible for him to carry 2. After much discussion it was possible for me to order one keep it at home and return it via the engineer on the day if not needed!!! The vaccum only gets normal household usage. Finally the wand hose has been replaced 3 times in 3 years. The reason is the design I think as the hard bit of the wand rubs on the plastic of the hose and tears it. This last time meant I have spent the last week in a filthy house and had to give my daughter birthday party in these conditions because the part was sent second class. Furthermore the part arrived today and is wrong. Customer services excuse is that they must have clicked the wrong button on ordering and they will replace it sending it first class which can take up to a week given the weekend is now in the way again. Apparently not thier fault Royal Mail first class postal service for parcels guarantees delivery within 2- 4 working days. I thought first class was next day delivery.

This is not a review of the DC07, bit of your experience with suppliers. And you waited a year before writing it? Cheesh, some people...

Does The Job

I have had this Dyson for about 6 years now...... It still suck like the first day I got it!!!!! I have also during these 6 years only had to replace the belt twice which I think is great.I love this Dyson but am currently saving up for the ball DC42.Believe it or not but I have even sucked up water with this dyson and the only thing that happend was it started to smell and all the rubbish in the cyclone got stuck to the bin and on the next empty I had to scrape all the rubbish out apart from that its. An amazing vacuum!!!!!!

Very Poor Design

I had a Dyson DC04 years ago and it was bombproof. I therefore trusted the brand and got the later DC07 and I must say it is rubbish. The filters clog so often, I bought a spare to swap and rotate and keep the machine working. I have a normal house but the filters will clog twice before the hopper is ready to be emptied. The motor gets incredibly hot and it will eventually cut out until allowed to cool down. I even experimented without the filters and it was the same. The fittings are stiff to operate and the whole thing is badly designed, leaking fine dust everywhere, it is very, very loud in operation and heavy to haul up the stairs. It simply is not fit for purpose.

Overall I am very disappointed and will not be buying Dyson again.
