Wish I Still Had Mine...

Had I known that the next Dyson animal vac wasn't gonna be a good as this one, I would of never given it away...

Sad sad day, being this model DC07 was much better than the new one Ball Animal I got a year ago...

If Dyson ever makes this . Exact model DC07 again, I am gonna buy me a couple of them..

Had my DC07 for 9 hrs... Never had a problem with it at all... I lived going to people's homes and telling them to vacumm with there vac, then I would/ with my DC07 and show them how much was missed... Lol

Fabulous Machine!

We've had our DC07 Animal for 10 years in a 3 story, carpeted house and a large labrador/ridgeback cross dog (plus a cat) that sheds 12 months of the year.

We've cleaned the filter a couple of times and replaced lost spare brushes/attachments, and also cleaned out the main brush quite a few times which is to be expected and the vacuum has performed flawlessly throughout.

I now use it from the back of the van on electrical install jobs as a site vacuum and it still works great (the good lady indoors nicks it back occasionally too for the house when she tires of the Mieler).

I could not wish for more from a vacuum and it's certainly earned its cost a hundred times over.

Best Vacuum In The History Of Ever

we have had our dyson for 8 1/2 almost 9 years and never took it to the shop. we love it and it has never lost suction. the reason I am writing this review is because we had it for 9 years with no complaints and it is the best vacuum ever. we have a 11 year old lab whippet mix that sheds a lot and it has never stopped working for any reason. I never want to get rid of it. I can safely say that it truly is a "no loss of suction vacuum!" we have like 13 stairs and we can leave it on the ground floor and still make it to the top level.

The Best Vacuum We've Ever Had!

I highly recommend this vacuum! We have owned the Dyson DC07 animal for about four years now and we love it! We have two long-haired cats that shed fur like nobody's business so we vacuum quite often. I am very impressed that it has lasted this long. I would rather pay more money for a product that will last longer then have to buy a new vacuum every year or two. This is ultimately better for the environment and it saves me time from having to research products. Though I do have to admit that there are a few improvements I would make. It is a little on the heavy side so trying to vacuum a carpeted staircase is not the easiest task. Trying to vacuum under the bed is also somewhat of a challenge. And lastly, there was a strange odor coming from the vacuum a few weeks ago but it has now passed. I'm not sure what the Dyson ate but it was nothing out of the ordinary. It seems to have cleared itself out now and is continuing on it's merry little way.

We haven't had any issues with the Dyson (thankfully), so I can't comment on their customer service.

I would like to see more products from the company. I am waiting for a Dyson air conditioner, a Dyson humidifier, and a Dyson air purifier.

I Bought The Cleaner Approximately 2 Years Ago And

I bought the cleaner approximately 2 years ago and made the purchase because i wanted a powerful and relible machine and i was lured in by the 'king of all vacuums' branding but my opinion: It's a useless pile of cr&p. Suction dies off very rapidly despite dismantling and cleaning the thing after every few times it's used. The 'No loss of suction' sticker has to be some kind of sick joke surely. The suction power has died off now to the point of this thing being fit only for landfil. One great feature is that's it's easy to take apart and fit in the dustbin!

Dyson...you're rubbish.

Bought This To Replace Our Dyson Dc01 A Couple Of

Bought this to replace our Dyson DC01 a couple of years ago.It is quite heavy to use so may not suit an older person. We have a labrador who when he casts leaves hairs all over the place. The DC07 makes short work of picking up the hairs. Our house is a mix of carpets and hard wood flooring, so the hard floor setting is a must for us. The mini turbine head is brilliant for removing dust and hair from carpeted stairs. Our Dyson is used daily and we have had to have the motor & hose replaced but with a 5 year guarantee and excellent customer service you don't have to worry about repairs.

I Bought The Dc07 Animal About 6 Years Ago And, Co

I bought the DC07 Animal about 6 years ago and, considering I paid £330 for it, expected a nice, reliable vacuum. I was trading up from a 5th-hand, 25 year old, bagged Panasonic, so I was really excited about my purchase.

This hoover is probably the worst purchase I have ever made! The pet turbo attachment blocked within two weeks, and I'd only used it four times! Okay, so I had long hair back then, but the only other furball in our house was a shorthaired cat, and she only ever stayed in the hall, stairs and kitchen!

Further spotlighting the ANIMAL as an ineffective 'bag of rubbish'(pun intented) is the fact that we have wooden/slate floors through 95% of our property, so our hoover doesn't exactly have the hardest job in the world!!!

The only fitments that are still working are the crevice device and the circular brush. The animal tool died after about 4 months, no longer able to spin regardless of how much we tried to clean it. A 4th tool snapped the first time I used it to clean our (wooden) stairs, and a 5th tool broke in two the first time my husband used it to clean the car.

We contacted Dyson about all of these faults, but never received a response!

The hoover no longer workes if pushed, it only workes when using the hose, and even then the suction's not brilliant. It just about picks up bits off the floor, but doesn't work on the 5% of rug/carpet we have! It's faster for me to sweep the floor and hoover up the pile...

It's not a joy to use; it's heavy, noisy, bulky and cumbersome. It doesn't float easily behind you as you clean and falls over regularly.

The hose split in three places and has had to be tapped. When Dyson did finally respond to our complaints, they said as the hoover was over 12 months old, we'd have to pay for reconditioning. I swore I'd buy a different make before Dyson got any more of my money!

Several parts of the the main body have broken off or cracked. I noticed a few months ago that the edge at the top of the dust container has broken off, and now the handle is 1/3 cracked. As this it part of the carrying mechanism, this is most concerning, and I am sure it will only be a matter of time before this too snaps; Sod's law says it'll happen when the damn thing is being carried downstairs!

So, I'm going to buy a new vacuum before the Dyson does someone an injury.

As an interesting footnote: I went to Tunisia in 2001 and met a woman who worked on the managerial side of Dyson, and she advised me absolutely NOT to buy a Dyson! EVER!

I wish I'd listened...

Hose Is Too Short, Cleaner Is More Flimsy Than Ear

Hose is too short, cleaner is more flimsy than earlier Dyson cleaners (would not have thought THAT was possible!), the dust container is smaller than on any of the other Dyson cleaners that I have owned over the past 10 years (this is my 4th...), the brush bar defaults to ON when cleaner is turned off, it seems that the switch for the brushbar is attached, in some way, to the on/off switch, and this is very confusing when cleaning. The attached 'tools' are a joke, They are really not fit for purpose in my opinion.

It is quite light which is good for carrying the cleaner up the stairs, and it has very powerful suction.

I Absolute Love My Dyson Animal. Have Had Since

I absolute love my Dyson Animal. Have had since they first went on sale. It gets beat up in a household with three cats, various pile of carpet, and wood floors. I have wooden stairs, so it gets carried up and down quite a bit with the hose stretched to the limit. I love that it is so easy to take the vacuum apart to clean and replace parts. I've had to replace both hoses now, but given the amount of use, I think that's perfectly acceptable. The canister gets held on with a bungie cord, as it doesn't stay "clicked" in any more, but the Dyson has lasted FAR longer than any other vacuum in our household. As long as you can keep replacing little bits and pieces here and there, I hope to have MANY more years with the Animal!

Unbelievable Poor - I Found Kitchen Science Had Th

unbelievable poor - i found kitchen science had the rudeness / dreadfull customer service staff from any other internet store in the market-place. couldn't get a straight forward answer to a simple question about delivery timescale for a product that i ordered from them - a dyson animal hoover. when i asked the young lady to clarify the delivery date, she became rude and i later found out, she had cancelled my order, as well ! request a call back from one of the cs managers, never receive a call.
