Dangerous Electrics

directly above the motor electrical brushes there are 2 metal bars that can work loose with vibration and cause a short or fire,as happened to me.

Totallly Useless

Lots of noise and no suction, clearly badly designed. No help at all from hoover who kept insisting i was hoovering up stuff like ashes and blocking it up. A rubbish machine from a company with an arrogant customer service.

Hoover Freespace 1800 - Worst Vacuum Cleaner I Ever Had

The only thing I like about this vacuum cleaner is that it looks appealing and is quite small, light and easy to steer. Since we got it, it has never worked as one would expect a vacuum cleaner to work. Basically it has no real suction power. We bought it because it was reasonably priced and for it's small size (don't have much space). We have regretted this from day one. We had expected it to suck up normal dust and the odd bit of cat litter bits that get stuck in the cat's paws as she emerges from the litter box and although the cat litter is little more than breadcrums in size it could not even pick up most of them without going over the area over and over and over again, so I am going to have to spend money again for something that will do the job properly and than goodness I have found all these bad reviews because it confirms that it is not just ours. Never again any product from Hoover. We were lead into buying it by reputation but evidently Hoover no longer make valid products. I will choose more carefully next time and if I had found these reviews before buying it I probably would have chosen another model.

It Wasn't My Fault!

I bought this vacuum cleaner about 2 years ago and had never been satisfied with its performance. Time and time again I went back to the user's manual to check whether I was assembling/using it correctly. This morning, in desperation, I thought I would go online to see if there might be some help there and I came across these astounding negative reviews. Now I know that it is not my fault and that the product is a badly designed/manufactured, sad piece of equipment and that a large percentage of those who have bought it and deeply dissatisfied with it - as am I.

Awful Hoover

This hoover sucks, but not in a literal way, which would be helpful.

It just doesn't seem to pick anything more substantial tahn fluff up off the carpet. Hair? Forget about it! Paper? Dream on! General dirt and muckiness? You'd have more luck wishing it away.

I guess what i'm trying to say is that as hoovers go, this isn't really one. More a hoover shaped ornament that makes a noise (and then some!) and pretends that it's doing something when in actual fact its just sucking up electricity like a little blue vampire.

AND! the nozzle bit snapped! So that's great.

Hoover. Jog on.

Awful Hoover!

This hoover worked for the first few weeks - did not have the best suction but it did at least hoover. Now, it does nothing. Was never good on pet hair. DO NOT BUY

Poor Quality From Hoover

I thought that buying the eponymous vacuum cleaner would mean I was getting a quality product but the shoddiness of this machine means I will never buy anything from Hoover again. The on/off switch keeps sticking so I can only turn it off from the socket switch. When I took it to be repaired I was told it was because I hadn't cleaned the filter often enough........they expect you to clean it after every use which doesn't exactly make it a labour saving device. It's just broken down again, no life in it at all. The suction isn't great so basically this machine has nothing going for it. I would not recommend any feature of this machine.
