Hoover Smart SE1600 Upright Bagless Vacuum Cleaner

Good lightweight vacuum cleaner with good suction power.

However I have had the cleaner for just 3 months and have already replaced 5 belts to the beater brush in the head of the cleaner.

I have contacted Hoover/candy as I feel there is a design floor in the appliance, they insist that they have had no reports of this happening on any other cleaners they have sold. I suggested to them that they should read the social network where it seems this IS a common problem with these units!

My wife almost electrocuted herself when the head, which runs continuously,

chewed through the mains flex as she was cleaning.

I wished I had know this before making the purchase, but the manufacturer insists that all of their models are designed the same way?

I am about to throw this dangerous/useless tool into the skip.

Hoover eventually relented and sent me another belt, that now makes seven!

Lesson learned....do not buy any Hoover product!
