VAX Appliances V-020

Have had 2 of these machines fail now after about 6 months, first was the motor so Vax sent a new machine but this time the water pump has gone and they want £75 to repair.

I do not know, why people write review and they dont even know what to do with it.

Im totally happy with the carpet cleaner.

Any quality liquid is suitable and it sucks properly.

Nice colour of it and design.

I recommend it for sure !

Service? I dont know anything about it.

Bought one of these after my other carpet cleaner packed in after eight years of service.This Vax lasted just over two years,with use estimated at no more than 8 times since purchase.Power switch collapsed,so unable to turn machine on.Going to pursue a claim under the sale of goods act as the machine is not fit for purpose.I would expect that paying nearly £100 it would at least last a few years

I bought this item in july 09 from argos. Aftet its 6th use in september 10 the power button collapsed after i pressed it so could not switch it on. Vax wanted £60 to repair it. Only cost £97 new. Argos were not interested in helping so now pursuing via sale of goods act. Incidently the writing on the side of the unit says "engineered for life"!! I dont think so.

i think you pretty much get what you pay for, while cleaning my carpets i didnt see any results, the carpet didnt look cleaner yet the water was very dirty. ive used other carpet cleaners an seen the results straight away. rather rent the rug doctor to be honest.

i used the aaa solution, might try a stronger solution see if that makes more difference. or at least have a brush option to aggitate the carpets maybe. no button to realease the amount of solution you need.

overall im not impressed.

I think the VAX Appliances V-020 needs clearer instructions. The water tube is not long enough to wrap around the hose. There is a lack of instructions regarding how to fill the machine & how much solution to use. Having problems getting the lid to clip into place.

The VAX V-020 is a good all rounder, if looking for vacuum the only think to consider, washes carpets, cleans upholstery, vacuums, and plenty of other uses round the home and workshop.

Due to water filtering nature good for heavy use.
