Very Poor Product
second replacement vex machine in six months, first plug was shorting out could have caused a fire. replacement only lasted 6 months, and roller head and casing disintegrated. Customer support very unhelpful, stated not covered under 6 year warranty,
stated it had not been maintained regularly, stated that you have to strip down machine remove head roller to clean
what a useless product
would never ever buy a vax product again beware

Poor Everything
I have used this vacuum for some months now. I bought it because the motorhead on my Dyson stopped working and they wanted £90 for a service engineer to call and fix it. The Vax is so poor that the Dyson out performs it even with the motorhead not working. Recently James Dyson appeared on a TV commercial pointing out that competitor cleaners did lose suction when their filters got blocked. He was so right. With this cleaner I spend most of my time taking the collection cylinder off to remove the filter on the top of it to unblock it. The cleaner constantly leaves stuff on the floor which the Dyson picks up first time even without the motorhead working. It has now stopped working altogether. I will now pay the £90 Dyson were asking to repair the old one. It will be worth every penny.

Worst Ever Hoover
This Hoover is a waste of money.you really have to clean filters after every use,and it is so noisy and vax not really interested in giving you a refund and they just talk to you on the phone to try and troubleshoot any problems.being bag less unable to use any fresh smell products.will be buying a Seborrhea cylinder soon.

Rubbish Vacuum
Really disappointed. :(
Had a Henry for years and decided to go hi tech. Complete waste of time and money
Carpet brushes regularly clog therefore needing constant clearing and untangling
Bag less idea hopeless. Dust everywhere when you empty it. Not great for asthma sufferer
Hose not long enough for average staircase or ceiling. And Hoover just falls over
Only plus is the little turbo accessory which is great. Shame it comes with a useless vacuum
Off to the tip with this and off to buy an old fashioned low tec vacuum that actually does the job of Vacuuming !

Good Vacuum
This vacuum really works well. It does a great job and it has a strong force. Its very light and easy to move around.
Have had one of these for two weeks now and recommend it for its lightweight and power. Easy to use on both carpets and hard floors, also with the extension tube and the turbo brush attached makes cleaning stairs pure simplicity. If you think your carpets are currently clean wait till you try this. I highly recommend this cleaner.

Vax Has Started Making Poor Products
Let me begin by stating that Vax's customer service is second-to-none, highly rated and recommended.
This hoover was given to us as yet another replacement for a hoover that gave up the ghost after just a few years.
And after three weeks of use, we can safely say that this is the worse Vax hoover yet.
I understand it is sold as being lightweight, but this product just feels horribly cheap and flimsy, and wouldn't last anywhere near the 6 years Vax guarantee the product for.
The hoses that are screwed in to the clips regularly come apart, and I mean regularly. You need to be on your hands and knees to wrap the wire back onto the frame its that low, and the space given for the tools is ridiculously small, meaning they either fall off, or you just leave them in a draw, whilst the rigmarole needed to put the hoses together to hoover the stairs verges on being classed as ridiculous.
Unless you have a supple enough back to spend an inordinate amount of time either assembling or re-assembling this hoover, wrapping the wire up or re-attacking the tools on your knees, I would look elsewhere, there is a plethora of better hoovers out there.
Suffice it to say I will back in touch with Vax asking for a replacement hoover.

2 Labradors? No Problem!
Great vacuum, really lightweight and powerful. Had several other cheaper alternatives but this one is by far the best. Labradors seem to moult all year but this vacuum clears all carpets and rugs in minutes. The filters are easy to clean (that IS important) so it works great.
Yes, swapping the hose to use the stretch hose requires half a minute extra but, hey, it really isn't that much bother? No is my answer.
Did have a problem 3 years after purchase (my daughter managed to make it stop working...deliberate??? :-) ) but the Vax warranty service was really good. I called up to say mine had stopped working and, with no fuss or drama, a form for a replacement unit was sent by e-mail. I completed the form and attached the vacuum cleaner label, returned it by post and a week later a new main unit arrived - no hassle! Only slight issue was that the very nice lady I spoke to didn't tell me to keep the old tools and cylinder but once again, no hassle all parts were sent out with an apology for the inconvenience.
I'd definitely recommend this vacuum cleaner and also Vax.

Ergonomic Disaster!
This is probably the worst vacuum cleaner I have ever had.
It's unwieldy, badly restricted in manoeuvrability, and use of the various attachments requires a major dismantling, making the cleaning take half as long again. The stretch hose WILL reach the top of a standard staircase,as advertised, but the smallest movement causes the vacuum (at the bottom of the stairs) to topple over.
Trying to vacuum the edge of a carpet causes the wheels to snag, and with the brushbar on carpet setting, all but the heaviest carpets wrinkle and fold. When I phoned the helpline for a solution I was told not to use the carpet setting - rather defeating the object, wouldn't you say?
Good points are: It does clean carpets very well(except the edges!),and the TurboTool works well on soft furnishings.
Wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy!
fully agree bigest load of rubbish we ever brought just about to dump ours
I found this hoover is fantastic.Lightweight for lifting up and down stairs and has brilliant suction. I previously had a Dyson and I find this Vax cleaner, lighter and very easy to use. I am converted. Works and adjusts brilliantly on carpets and wooden floors. Would recommend this hoover. Light, powerful and very easy to use.
