Dreadful Service
Ordered a dress and fascinater from them received the dress but no word of fascinater waited and waited but stilll
No idea of delivery date so I sent dress back I was then billed £4.95 because I hadn't returned the dress in the 14 day returns policy !! Eh ! How can that be right when I'm waiting on goods they advertise in catalogue but fail to supply ! Just a joke, never shop with them again ,

Been A Customer For 10 Years
I have been a customer for over 10 years and I have always had a good relationship with them and they have always delivered and collected without any problem, I have ordered frequently and always paid far more than the required amount.
This month I was going away so I paid my account on the 2/09 so according to the accounts department it went into August and therefore they expect another payment before the 28/09.
On their statement it states that the payments must be made every month before the 28th.
This is exactly what happened but because their statements come out on the 5/09, it is suddenly my fault and there is apparently nothing that they can do.
I feel that if my business meant something they would be more understanding.
Anyway the outcome is that they have lost a good client as I will never place another order with the Otto group.

Lucky Escape
By reading the reviews here i have had a lucky escape from Grattan.. on the 2nd of this month i set up a personal account with them and ordered a pair of boots... here it is now the 6th of the month and no progress according to the web site my account is still being set up although it says on the site it can take up to 24 hours to set up, no company taking four days to set up an account for me is getting my business,oh even if it is near christmas thats no excuse for a shoddy service, christmas comes along every year so if you're not prepared for it, it shows they have no clue how to operate a business.

Almost 1 Month And Still Waiting.
I ordered my girlfriend a top from Grattan almost one month ago, According to their system it was in stock and dispatched next day. I have still yet to receive this item. I could have flown to China, had it made and flown back by now. I have contacted them many times but all the say is investigating. JUST SEND ANOTHER ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.
Seriously, if you intend on wearing your item, go else where.

Not Even A Customer!
I'm not a Grattan customer but I dislike this company! One of their customers has given them my email address so I am recieving endless emails.
I have tried to contact Grattan over and over but no reply AND they keep sending these emails. Very annoying!
Three Weeks Delivery
Dear sir/madam why include items in your collection you have no intention of stocking ? i ordered a pair of trainers on the 15th/1/14 to be told they would not be in stock till February 12th, I have now been informed they will not be in stock till mid March....A little bit of advise for you from someone with over 25 years experience in the retail trade. STOP FOBBING OFF YOUR CUSTOMERS. it is how you loose them"
Discraceful Catalogue
This is the worst company i have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. DO NOT BECOME A CUSTOMER. If you finally manage to find the item you require in stock, and in your size then you have already been more succesfull than most. But rest assured this is just the beginning of a long and drawn out process of waiting and calling up but constantly being given excuses, and when your item is finally despatched(Probably at least three weeks after you first ordered) then you have to wait around and take time off work to greet a package that will probably not arrive the first two times and when it finallydoes you can guarantee that something will be wrong with it. THE ONLY THING GRATTAN HAVE DONE CONSISTENTLY IN 3 YEARS IS LET ME DOWN AND PROVIDE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SUFFERED.

I have just made comments to other reviewers but saw so much I am writing my own review about this shoddy company. I use to use them but dumped them a long time ago. The customer service is appalling, they send things you haven't ordered, most of the items I sent back either wrong item sent or it was faulty or broke. trying to get them to pick up returns was a nightmare they would arrange a date not turn up you ring them for another date they don't turn up for that either so for smaller items I took them to the post office, even if the courier did collect them often I was told they had not got them back. I use to pay the bill at the bank but once sent it by post as I couldn't get out waiting for one of their none existent couriers so I mailed it forgetting it was a bank holiday meaning it was a day late, wow they would have lost so much interest on twenty pounds for a day, anyway they charged me twelve pounds late payment fee. I disputed it and got it back. I was looking here today out of curiosity to see how this shoddy company was doing these day seems they haven't changed a bit and it's unlikely they ever will.

Grattan Catalogue-avoid At All Cost
My experience of being a Grattan customer has been very stressful and left me feeling extremely frustrated and angry.
I have been charged for items i did not order or receive, for instance. The last time this happened, i ordered one ps3 bundle. This cost £399.90.
They sent me one and then charged me for six! I was overcharged £1999.95!
It took nearly a year and me going to the finacial ombudsman service before they put it right. in that time they tried every trick in the book to make me pay for six bundles. Admin fees, blackmail, debt collectrs and bad credit ratings. i have never missed a payment with them, yet i was recieveing an avalanche of threatening letters.
All the time they ignored my letters and emails. On the phone, they would tell me one thing and then do the opposite. This company used to be good, until the americans took it over. Now its the pits.
They treat customers who pay extortionate interest terms on their goods, better then customers who pay no interest, but straight away.
And watch out for the code and offers scam, you order the goods online with the code/offer dicount included, only to find on the statement no discount has been added. this is because you can only use one code at a time, and byenow paylater terms are included as a offer code.
Customer service is worse then terrible.
My advice to anyone thinking of using Grattan catalogue is DONT. save up and pay cash or go with someone like Argos. Grattan prices are about 20% more expensive then high street prices

they once sent me three items I had never ordered. When I rang them about it they said. They were on offer and just thought you may want them. anyway most of their items are tack.damaged or broke when you get them. I dumped them tears ago. I agree DON'T TOUCH EM.
I just received a laptop from them and they sent the wrong one and refuse to delete the cost of the one I ordered and expect me to take a day off work to have a courier come to my home to collect the wrong item, I ordered a Acer laptop at £549 they sent me a Packad bell netbook which they don't even sell in the catalogue they also have a very long process to get through to anyone on the phone I hadn't ordered from them for two years and wish I had never gone back to them. Don't shop with them it is a waste of time and money

No Loyalty To Long Term Customers
I have been a customer of Grattan for around 25 years, their customer service is disgraceful. I missed one monthly payment which was an oversight as I had been unwell and had to undergo an operation. They placed two lots of £12 onto both my customer accounts eventhough I had never missed payments previously, and had to contact them for their shoddy work when they could not even distribute amounts to my customers correctly, even though I completed the form to show where the money should go.
I wrote back and explained why I had missed the payment and to please reimburse this fee, considering I had spent a lot of my own time putting right their errors, and I have paid more than the amount due for the missed payment and paid another month's in advance.
They still refused to reimbuse this amount.
I have therefore said I wish to take this to a formal complaint, and I will not use their catalogue ever again.
