The onebigpresent website was exactly what we were looking for when we finally got round to getting married last month. We're both on our second time and had no need at all for the usual housy things so we asked for small contributions towards one big family holiday for us and for both sets of our children after the wedding. I like the simplicity of the concept and the actual service was so simple to use that it worked out brilliantly for those that wanted to use it though we did still get two sets of towels and a toastie machine from those that didn't!!! No receipts either :-(

I used to be quite sceptical of this form of present giving, thinking that it may have been impersonal, but I was so wrong. 1BigPresent is actually a personable company and really very practical in today's financial climate. I don't want a handful of random gifts. Not that I am ungrateful, I have too much clutter as it is, one useful item is just perfect :) and since not one of my friends or family would buy the whole item, what better way for them all to chip in!!

Easy communication with this particular company, and lots of trust in them too. What more can I say?!

We had a brilliant wedding day at Rudding Park Hotel back in April this year and used 1bigpresent.com instead of asking for gifts which we really did not need! We have lived together for a while now in our own flat and we have all the traditional household type wedding presents people tend to buy, so we wanted something to avoid the prospect of receiving 12 toasters, 5 kettles etc etc. We came across 1bigpresent.com and it was perfect for us! It took away the "cheeky" feeling of asking for cash or cheques but let us explain through our own personal profile that we wished to use the money for an extra special honeymoon. Our guests fully embraced the website and found the unique code system a dream to use and everyone who contributed left a little message which was nice for us. We closed our account after the wedding (in order to get our hands on the dosh!) and the money was in our account EXTREMELY fast. A great little feature of the site allowed us to send thank you messages to all who had contributed, which meant we didn't have to spend hours writing letters! What a brilliant website! We used this service for our wedding on the 18th of June this year. More than half of our guests used this and it also gave us a list of what our guests kindly gave us (which is really good for writing thank you cards). It was very straight forward to use and when our event finished we received our money very quickly opting for the bank transfer option.

This service made it really easy for us to request cash gifts for our wedding, something that I was a bit anxious about. We registered a few months before the day and posted out the details wiht our wedding invitations. The different options on the site were good and we uploaded menu choices as well as directions to the church and the reception.

Feedback from friends seemed positive, they said it was easy to use and really convenient although we did still receive some gifts mainly from older relatives who won't use the internet but that was fine. On closing the account we opted to pay a little extra for a bacs transfer and then all of our gift fund was paid into our bank later that day. I have nothing but praise for this service, we loved it and thought it was very good value for money!

I recently used Ibigpresent when organising a present for my friend's 50th Birthday Party. The guests were coming from all over the UK so it would have been a nightmare trying to collect cash from them all. With ibigpresent, I just set up the account(easy to do)and the guests were e-mailed the link automatically. The result was a very happy 50 year old who now has her dream present of a trip in a hot air balloon for herself and her family! The 1BigPresent website offers couples a convenient and polite way to request money as a wedding gift whilst allowing guests to give any amount swiftly, securely and of course stress free! It's perfect for today's couples who feel that they already have everything they need! Knowing Michelle who runs the company as I do, I know that she has worked extremely hard to turn a brilliant idea into a reputable company and I know that she gives 100% to each and every person who uses the 1BigPresent service.

Great experience for us, really just did what it said on the tin. We registered for our wedding, gave the unique code to our guests and were delighted to have a generous sum of money to put to good use after the wedding when we were really skint. Loved getting updates and messages from everyone and loved the thankyou systems that 1bigPresent provides at the end. Top class idea.

I would thoroughly recommend 1 Big Present to everyone. We used it for our wedding guest list for people to contribute to for our honeymoon as we had everything we needed for our home and wanted to spend the money on a holiday to remember. It is so easy to setup and for friends and family to use. The customer service from 1 big present is fantastic too.

I used 1bigpresent.com when I got married last year. I was already living with my husband so didn't need lots of household stuff. I was also pregnant with my first child and although I knew I'd like to use some of the baby bits we'd need, I didn't want to use it all on that. We really wanted to ask for cash but knew that it wasn't the done thing.

I was so excited when I found the site, it was just what we needed! It was really straight forward and simple to set up, and the customer service was amazing. It was a fantastic alternative to cash and gift lists. Having the insert for the invites was a lovely touch, it meant people saw this as a gift list service rather then just handing over money. Even the least techy of the family were able to follow the instructions and make a donation.

On our wedding day we did receive some gifts from people, but mainly everyone used this service. I would highly recommend it as it saved some of the problems we had with cheques from the few that weren't able to use the site. Some cheques were addressed to me in my married name, and some to us as a married couple. It meant that we couldn't pay the cheques in straight away which isn't just inconvenient for us, it means that your guest is waiting for it to come out of their account.

In the end we used the bulk of the money towards a bigger, more baby friendly car. It was something we hadn't even thought of before the wedding as it's not really something you ask for on a gift list!

The customer service is top notch and I can not fault the experience I've had.
