2 Months And Still No Payment
Honestly, the worst service ever. I sent off my iPhone 13 Pro 2 months ago and I have still not been paid.
I’ve chased consecutively for 7 weeks, with emails constantly having to be followed up due to no response. The complaint system just advises you must email, even though they do not respond anyway.
I used MusicMagpie previously which was absolutely smooth sailing, I thought Currys / Carphone Warehouse would be the same. NOPE.
I really regret not checking reviews before choosing them because I’d have used an alternative provider. Don’t waste your time and energy, genuinely not worth it!

Horrific Trade In Service
Currys is advertising their trade in everywhere so when it came to getting rid of my old laptop i thought they best option was send it to them. I was very wrong. I sent my laptop 3 weeks ago and it was delivered 2 days after i sent it. Waited a week, no email about it. So i sent one, a few days later no response so i sent another one. And another. And another. AND ANOTHER! I sent a total of 6 emails over 3 weeks, none got a response. I could find no number that connected me with issues for trade in. There online chat was absolutely useless. I finally connected to a person on the phone and they were useless and said they’ve not dealt with trade ins before, all i wanted was to know where the f my laptop was and why i hadn’t received any money or any emails. I was given a number that would apparently connect me to the trade in team, once i emailed them it bounced back and said my email was blocked from contacting that email . I AM FURIOUS. They not only make it impossible to find out what’s going on they make it impossible to make a complaint of any sort. I have previously thought currys was great but not anymore. My next option is driving 40 minutes to the closest curry’s to try and sort it in person. NEVER USE THIS SERVICE UNLESS YOU GO IN PERSON.
Hiya! I finally managed to get my money when I told them I had contacted the police for theft. After I did this they quickly sent me the full amount, even if you haven’t contacted the police (I actually had) I recommend doing this because I finally got the money for my laptop. Goodluck
This is absolutely the same situation that I am in. Multiple complaints, they refuse to speak over anything but email and still haven’t been paid for my iPhone device that was sent at the beginning of September. I’d never recommend the service to anyone, nor will I ever use again.

Do Not Send You Phone In For A Trade In!
Myself and my partner sent our iPhones off. We chose currys trade in thinking this was an established company but I couldn’t be further off the truth. It has been nearly month and they are messing us around. No money, no phone returned. Please do not use this company!!!

Screen Burn???
Sent my s21 to Currys - online I was offered £120 - email from them saying my phone has screen burn so offered me £30!!! I emailed saying my phone was in full working order - I had my phone checked before I sent it off and they checked for screen burn - nothing. I am relieved to say I have just had this phone returned to me - I wish I had some sort of proof as I don't even know if it's my mobile. Do not use Currys for trade-in - stay well clear.

Shocking service, cannot contact by telephone & they don’t reply by email. Sent my trade-in to them 3 weeks ago but have received no correspondence & no payment. Chased twice, no response, third time they said I’d been sent the payment a week ago……..I haven’t. Back to square one with no payment & unable to get a response.
Update: I went into my local Curry’s and asked for some help/advice. They were the most helpful & contacted the trade-in service in my behalf. A flurry of emails & I’ve now received the payment. I would still NEVER use this service or recommend to anyone.

Payment Issues And No Communication
14th Jan I booked two trade ins online. Sent them off and they were delivered a few days later. A week later after hearing nothing I spent ages trying to find out how to contact them and in the end got given an email from customer services (?). No response to first email after a few days so sent again. Got a response saying they had processed payment on 25th. Waited 5 days. Nothing. Chased again. No response. Raised a complaint. No response. Emailed again requesting an update and got a reply that they had processed payment on the 29th now. So a week later after nothing in account, I chase again to be told I need to give them my bank details again so they can check and that was a few days ago with no response.
I shall replace my kit elsewhere and advise others to do the same. Atrocious.

Appalling, Do Not Use This Service
Wow where do I start? I never write reviews but needed to so no one uses this service. I was quoted £260.00 for a iPhone 12 Pro and I was sent a pre paid box to send it in you have the option to send on special delivery, which I’m so glad I did meaning you get a picture of proof of delivery and a signature. The phone was signed for which I received a copy of and was sent a picture from Royal Mail. I waited 2 weeks after 2 weeks no confirmation email or anything received saying they had it or no payment. I rang Currys customer service and was put through to 4 different people, no one had a clue what I was on about and they were useless. Apparently you can’t call trade in I was told I would get a call back no call received obviously! Another 2 weeks passed still nothing I went into my local Currys, this was about the only help I got the worker was great took all my details gave my his personal work email to contact him on and also gave me an email for trade in who he and myself contacted I finally heard back from them in which there only vocab consists off ‘please allow us some time we are working on issues’ they even referred to me as a different name at one point so they must say the same to everyone! Chasing and chasing over 20 + emails no response or very little still no payment they pretend and lie to you saying they have processed and when you don’t receive it act like it’s an error on your half at this point it was theft. So after 20 + EMAILS, ONE TRIP TO MY LOCAL CURRYS, LIED TO I finally received my payment in full 2 MONTHS LATER! I only think I got payment really because I had proof of delivery and a signature if not you have no chance! Do not send your phone here your better off selling it yourself. They will take your phone! Do not use these if I could rate 0 stars I would. They are not even worth the 1.
Avoid This
I traded in my phone and was told I get initial £1 and then a further £150. My £1 came immediately so I knew they recieved my phone and accepted it. 2weeks later I called and after being passed from person to person I was told you cannot call the trade in team as they do not have a number and was told to email. When I did email they asked me for proof which I sent and they didn't accept. I then sent all correspondence between myself and trade-in and they said they will process my payment with their next payment date, mind you its been 1month already. 2weeks later I contacted them again and was told payment has been process and to wait 3-5.working days. After that time I contacted again and was told my payment will be processed. Again few weeks later told its processed and to.wait 3-5 working days. I even got told the day the money was sent to me and I still haven't received it. All I have been told is to be patient with the payment which they have already sent. Its been 4months and they have failed to send it. You cannot escalate further, there isn't a complaints department.
Absolutely Useless, 6 Weeks Later
I traded in my phone with curry’s, sent it in the packaging they provided, sent recorded delivery to cover myself and ensure it got there safely. It arrived two days later (20/10/23). I hadn’t heard anything at all, but I knew they’d received my phone as I was able to track it and see. After two weeks i called to enquire, I was passed back and forth for HOURS before someone finally told me that there’s no contact number for trade ins?! She gave me an email that was incorrect, after searching online I finally found a few other emails to try and one eventually replied. It’s been six weeks of “we’re processing your payment, it’ll be with you in 3-5 working days”, even after providing two different bank accounts for them to attempt (they said the first account was blocking the payment?). 6 weeks later, still haven’t received the £310 they owe me, can’t get anything more than “it’s being processed” and I can’t speak to anyone else about it. The absolute worse service I’ve ever used without fail. I’ll update if I ever receive it but I’m not hopeful

Bought a tv from them nearly £3000.00 applied to trade in my LG 50” only 6 yaysa old just wanted a picture
and size upgrade.Sent me proper offer of £20. Sent back to me a e Mail with reference Numbers waited 6 weeks old tv stuck in the corner in the lounge in the way. Phoned and was told I was talking to Laptop trade in dept.Dont know Tv trade in number or e Mail. Waste of space useless people.Its a disaster. Look elsewhere.!!
