Absolutely ridiculous waiting times. Why did i apply for a Debenhams credit card.
Every reputable company have a good number of staff to deal with customers but these people are a complete joke. There are many other good credit card companies so stay clear of Debenhams credit card!

Worst Credit Card Company Ever
This is the worst credit card management company I've ever come across. I've had so many problems on this card. First some of the refunds on the card were not showing up at all and I had to call them multiple times for this they told me to contact the merchants who reassured me that I've been refunded but still nothing showing up on my card. After multiple calls to them someone finally answered after 20 mins and opened an investigation into this. Then they refunds appeared in my card but also debit amounts of the same value for no reason and now they can't figure out why that has happened. I am now on hold for 30 mins and they still can't figure anything out. I told them to give me a Calle back and was told they are only an incoming call centre so can't call me back. So now I am wasting precious work hours trying to sort this out yet again. I only got this card to collect points for Debenhams purchases but this is really not worth the hassle. So once this issue is resolved I will cancel this card. I'd recommend everyone to stay away from this card.

WOULDN'T GIVE IT A ONE STAR. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I AM GOING TO CANCEL THE CARD when i get my complaint answered.
Had problems most of year with MANAGEMENT. Have asked on six occasions for a new pin for over six months. FAILED
Had charges put on my account, I have for six months asking them to prove these charges and send me copies of the statements. They did not send me a copy but one person said she would credit my account with £20 for poor customer service I had received. FAILED TO DO THIS AS PROMISED. Still not resolving the problems or sending a new Pin they only credited my account with £10 not £20 for poor service and failed to send me the proof after I had been charged approx £60. Six letters and two online messages since all ignored. MY ACCOUNT WAS £2000 in credit and they FAILED to return my money on request. In the end I had to spend it to get my money back. Appalling
STAY AWAY THIS COMPANY IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE AND NEEDS INVESTIGATING. Giving Debenhams a bad name
Your better off with American express where you get cash back rewards wise.

Newday Are Destroying Debenhams
Have never had any issues with Debenhams staff in Dundee store and have been an account holder for more than 20 years. Online ordering has always been superb and pretty much issue free. This has all changed since New Day started handling the account payments. Have never dealt with such rude unhelpful call operators before. I am no longer an account holder due to their intolerable behaviour and feel very aggrieved that all those years of being a loyal customer have been wasted. Will be re-opening my Frasers account and do all my shopping online now

Newday Financil Credit Company
NewDay the financial Credit Card company who manage Debenhams store Cards without explanation increased my interest rate forcing me to cancel my card. They advised they had a right to do this regardless of my loyalty and excellent credit rating. I wonder if Debenhams are aware of the loss of their customers due to this companies actions?

The interest rate is disgusting staff that work for new day limited are highly rude it's not customer service or lip service I'm just not happy at all I wouldn't recommend new day service for credit cards

Try, Try, Try, Again .... Just To Pay It!!!!!!
Every month its the same .... I am sent a statement detailing what I owe. I phone the "improved 24 hour automated telephone service" only to be advised 1. My account is not recognised 2. I am "currently owing nothing", when I clearly do otherwise why would I be sent a statement!!!!!! No way around, despite patiently trying all connotations of "easy telephone service" .... So in desperation try registering on-line in order to pay. Guess what "service is currently unavailable" AAAAGGHHHH. And I wish to pay the full balance as usual. I am never 'in debt' with it. Now I am forced to either send a cheque or drive the 9 miles to nearest store to pay. Sorely tempted just to cut this stupid card up.

Paid monthly amount off my Debenham Card only to receive a text message from New Day saying I had missed a payment and was being charged a late payment fee, interest and it could affect my credit rating!.
Phoned up to see what had happened only to be told to call back in a week as they couldn't explain what had happened. I asked for a call back due to the inconvenience only to be told that they don't do them.
Phoned the following week for an explanation as to what has happened. Told I was in arrears which I informed them I was not as I had a payment reference number for the payment made. Was told it could be the payment advisor who did not put the payment through correctly then they tried to blame my bank? sating they could have rejected the payment?? Cancelled card and could not believe I was asked if "everything was OK with my financial situation"!! Apparently they have to ask this when a payment is missed...The irony being I didn't miss a payment. Like that is any of their business. One word....Avoid!

I applied for a Debenhams card today to get a 10% discount after applying on line I did not receive an Email from New Day so I spoke to them they gave me card details when I used them I did not get my 10% so cancelled my order then spoke to New Day and was told I would have to wait 2 hours for Email well 31/2 hours later no Email so spoke to New Day and after waiting for nearly 10 minutes told them to cancel my application do not even try they are a disgrace to Debenhams

Does anyone know the interest rate on my gold Debenhams store card?
I believe there is only one type of debenhams card and they charge a whopping 24.9%, best to pay it off each month and use a card with less interest, this is really high and gives you no cash back such as with American express where its 1% on all purchases which adds up.
I recently received my Debenhams bill but I lost it. Will I get another reminder bill or not?
Unfortunately no I'm afraid. Only 1 statement is issued each month and usually on the same date.. payment is due 25 days after the statement has been produced. If you ever find that you have misplaced the statement you can call customer service and make a payment by debit card or alternatively register for online account management
I missed one monthly payment and my card was declined having balance on it. Can the card be declined by missing just one monthly minimum payment?
