Very Slow

Remus management company have taken their sweet time with returning the management pack for the property we are buying. We were told there was a 2 week turn around for the pack to be returned and it’s been over 3 now. We’re first time buyers and there is no chain so this is the only thing stopping the move.

This Company Should Not Be Allowed To Exist. Poor

This company should not be allowed to exist.

Poor service and extortionate charges.

Tenants must do something to end their tyranny.

All service charges go to line the directors pockets.

Enough is enough.

Rude And Unhelpful Staff

I would rate this company worser than this if there is less than a star.

I'm recently moved in the new property; I believe I've registered my detail with resum as i received a later from them. Since then, my email address was hacked and could not get any further correspondence.

Later, I received a latter from my mortgage lender for the property debt collection. It took me for a while to find out, where that debt collection from and it's from the remus.

I rang them to find out more detail about it, they straight away denied me to tell or discuses about it. I've never received a single letter from remus nor from debt collection notice.

the Staff was so rude and constantly referring me to contact property debt collection team to pay the outstanding amount.

I'm very anxious and comprehensive that I have to pay without knowing what is that charge it for!!!

Where Has Our Money Gone? Unlawful Behaviour?

Remus acquired our existing Property Manager APEX, in September 2022 with promises that "nothing would change" By February 2023 there were no APEX staff remaining, our service charges increased and NOTHING was being done. Billing was incorrect and sporadic. They tried to charge us £45 per flat, per quarter to calculate our Gas Bills!

In September 2022 they requested they use £3000 from our reserves as they were waiting for service charges to come in. It would be replaced quickly. Chased them EVERY MONTH for a statement of account and whether our £3000 had been returned. Nothing for 5 months.

Eventually got a "snapshot" at the end of February showing almost £13000 in our 3 accounts and that there was sufficient to replace the £3000. An agent promised that it would be returned.

We finally lost patience and gave our Notice. We have been with new managing agents for almost a month, during which time they have sorted 2 long standing issues going back to November '22, and January '23 within 24 hours.

HOWEVER, worryingly Remus told the new agents that would be transferring £200 which was 75% of the monies held on our behalf. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OTHER £11,000? And since the snapshot, a quarterly service charge billing cycle (£9500) was run.

Remus STILL holds our funds almost a month after us leaving.

THIS IS THE STUFF OR AN UNLAWFUL ORGANISATION.

Rude

I called several times with no luck after having threating letters over and over again. When someone final picked up a women from accounts was the rudest my belittling person I have ever met. I suggested that I will pay extra every month with a payment plan due to struggling with the the cost of living crisis like everyone else in this country, I was told I couldn’t do that and should remortgage to pay of a payment of £1,200 which is absolutely ridiculous as the interest rates are so high. The charge is currently £398 every three month for a absolutely terrible service, they mop the stairs twice a week and cut the grass, I have complained about the absolute massive fly tipping by the garages several times with no luck, the council have informed me that it is Remus job to remove the rubbish. So I’m conclusion absolute terrible service and when you can get through to them on the phone they are rude and belittling.

Absolutely Joke Of A Company

This Micky Mouse of a company has tried sent my mother in-law a scare tactic letter stating “ if you don’t remove the 20inch corner from your fence the we will come in your property and remove your whole fence then charge you for removing it”!

They clearly know they have no authority to step on or remove anything from any property. The corner which they are talking about belongs to the house which can be seen on the plans.

They have told her they have been investigating her home which again have no authority to do. The neighbour in question seems to think they have an extra corner for some reason and “Remus” have believed them so made themselves look completely incompetent and unprofessional.

According to TP1 they have to stay impartial but again they are listening to a fabricated story.

Remus should be investigated for sending false information to home owners and a complete corrupt company who

employ management that don’t have a clue what they can and can’t do!

Stick to cutting grass and keeping the roads tidy as this is clearly a tough job on its own for you.

Rudeness, Lack Of Care, Unprecedented

This is a company from top to bottom of lack of care people, hiding when they sent the bills out. Without qualifications, rude, they left one leak to run on purpose in Radcot house west village for 6 months and because one gasket the leak has damaged all the doors from the 5 floor to ground floor and all walls causing a massive damage to be paid by residents.

They let this estate is desarray and dispair and I think they should be blamed for unlawful civic damage and lack of due care and ask to pay from the massive profits they do on the poor service.

They all should be investigated and ask to pay from thier pockets.

Why Are Remus So Useless And Deceitful? Rating - Terrible

Why do developers choose Remus? Their charges are racketeering, their service is an insult to a 3rd World country.

The staff on the ground in Birmingham are clueless and the people who work in Salisbury, (if you can ever get hold of them) couldn't lie straight in bed.

What an absolute crock of a company.

Extortionate Charges And Poor Communication

My daughter was in Intensive care when letters came for charges for work that is done on the area that I live, the work is poor, extortionate costs for mowing a green area in the middle of the estate.

Obviously my concerns were elsewhere, I could not find letters and next a debt collection letter came with more costs and a threat of bailiffs if not paid.

I disputed this due to the circumstances, the reply was poor and heartless.

I paid the amount, but this morning have now received another letter over doubling the charge. So now gone from £119.07 to £159.07 to £288.90 to now £558.06.

Awful, they have not listened to anything I have said, not given any compassion and what they going to do double it again.

Property Debt Collection PDC are also involved in this so get a poor rating too.

This is appalling way to deal with issues Managed by Remus Management Company but not surprised when you read the reviews on review centre and Trustpilot. However, I would like to respond about debt collectors and the threat of bailiffs when residents have not paid their annual charges. Their Transfer Deeds (TP1) should tell them that the charge is against their property and it is only when they try to sell their property later when the problem will arise. When you sell your house the Management Company will claim any fees outstanding from the solicitor involved in the sale.

Q&A

ipom

I am planning to buy a new build freehold property which will be managed/ maintained by Remus Property Management, Salisbury. Current maintenance amount is £200 per year.

After reading the reviews; I am not too sure what should I do with the purchase.

Any feedback?

the5shed

I would not recommend buying anything that is run by this management company, as they have a habit of hire company's that do very little in the way of garden maintenance.

Here where on the estate where I live, there has been a new gardener used a ride on lawn mower to cat the the only thing is that the grass areas are not big enough to warrant a ride on lawn mower. And top it all off the aforementioned gardener did not even trim the hedges that need doing. And left all the grass cuttings strewn all over the place.

davidoneill

I currently rent a restaurant on the second floor in a shopping mall a management company have just recently stopped me using signage to promote my business they don't lease the premises to me I have an independent landlord. Is what they are doing legal? Their reason for removing signage is that the insurance company won't cover the shopping mall unless the signs are removed.
