Conway Royale 320dl

I bought my trailer for a very reasonable £300. after some swearing I erected the tent and then marked all the pole positions by colour coding, handy erecting when dusk as you will get it wrong!

The main unit is easy to erect, the poles for awnings etc all go together well but it is really a two man job, with pegging about 1 hour and a half hours is more realistic with the sun canopy erected on the front. We only use it for long weekends and week breaks, we have another tent for quick turnarounds

Tows easily, the quality of the product shines through, it is around 20 yrs old but it really has everything and will probably keep going for another 10 without fuss

Remember to clean the canvas periodically and respray with waterproofer

Some great breaks, set up is a bit of a pain but once up it does the job

Conway Royal Deluxe. Very Easy To Erect The Cabin

Conway Royal Deluxe.

Very easy to erect the cabin area, although two pairs of hands make it considerably easier and quicker, approx 20minutes including pegging. The awning can be a little difficult on your own but again with two pairs of hands approx 20 minutes plus pegging time. The removal of the kitchen from the rear of the trailer is a two person job and must be done before erection of the tent is possible. My own Royale ( bought new ) is now 18 years old and looks and functions as new - never and I repeat never a leak through the canvas or zips. Well designed, spacious and with the awning and cabin roof liners in place very warm, they seem to act as an insulation against the elements. The one metre extension ( 320dl ) is a boon with a toilet area on one side and a wardrobe area on the other. Probably the best trailer tent I have ever a) owned and b) have been in.

I Owned A Camplet For Approx 5 Years And Part Exed

I owned a camplet for approx 5 years and part exed it for a caravan. Big mistake. As these have a hard top and have space for extras within and on top. It was quite easy to just decide to get up and go, myself, my sister and the young nephew, where usually away within an hour. I would phone her and we would throw a few clothes into suitcases and by mid /late evening would be set up down the coast somewhere. Our husbands left a note on the fridge, which meant either we all had fun weekends or the men joined us later. If the football was on, we never saw them of course! It towed with no effort, and the rack on the top meant that extra people could be accommodated. Although it sleeps four, there was plenty of room to accommodate more. We aquired an inner tent from a frame tent that went up at night, and was taken down and stored during the day. It survived gale force wind and rain, and now I have kids and have camped for the last few years, I am seeking to buy another. As hubby agrees with me that getting rid of it was our worst mistake.
