Such a simple transaction. They had exactly what I needed, a matched set of four jj 6L6GC power tubes for my Silverface Fender Twin Reverb. They were the best value I found, and highly recommended on a couple of the forums I follow. Click "buy" and they turn up within 22 hours. Can it get better?

Ordered a couple of EL34's in a busy New year period, arrived the next day.

Ordered two valves on Friday, selected first class delivery. Valves arrived on Saturday, and sound great too. Spot-on!

Got great friendly advice on best replacement tubes for my Jackson Newcastle 30 amp head. Ordered full set of JJ's Tuesday afternoon and got them Wednesday morning before 10am, fantastically rapid service. This is the second time I've used Karltone and won't be the last.

Ordered a pre-amp tube mid Friday afternoon and it arrived first thing Saturday morning. You can't beat that. Great prices as well.

I have used Karltone now twice. The first time was for a pair of 5751 preamp valves and the second for a matched quad of EL84s.

The site is a dream to use, simple and concise with everything available and clear, and with pricing the cheapest around that I can find and transparent. Both times the valves have arrived by lunchtime the very next day despite being purchased late in the afternoon.

All of the valves worked perfectly just as you would expect, but the matching on the quad EL84s is sublime! The pre-matching burn in period for these valves obviously works a treat. I play a Hughes & Kettner Grandmeister 36 which has an active auto-bias feature in it for the output valves. This displays the current matching as flashes in 4 LEDs which you count to show the state of bias of each valve. The aim is to get the number of flashes to match within 4 for each of the two pairs. Even the H&K standard valves were correct to within 3 flashes. The new quad were a perfect match with only one valve having 1 extra flash, and that's superb!

I'll use Karltone again and again and pass my recommendation on to everyone I know as long as service keeps up to this standard.

The agent at Karltone is a very helpful guy and knows his stuff. Hes always been able to advise me on what valves to buy and can provide a spot on description of what he thinks the valves sound like. His prices are reasonable and he provides a quick service.

Amp separo p88i, power tube psvane kt88' x2 6sn7 x2 6sl7. From new amp sounded very dull, gave it four weeks to burn in this is at times leaving the amp on all day. Could not take sound of amp any more so purchase tungsol 6sn7. When arrived fitted 6sn7 into amp, out of the box the amp sounded brilliant, the drums sounded real, women's voices not coming out of the speakers but it's like the singer is in front of you. Base and midrange very very good, but the treble sweet sweet. All I can say is foget nos tubes, purchase tungsol 6sn7 ( new ) your amp is worth it. ( 6sl7 I think it a shuguang tube, it has a star on glass and 6sl7 is in center of star ). This tube is very very good, not all chinese tubes are bad, forget nos tubes, not all chinese amps are bad, one more thing, I had a £50 interconnect its good but not has good has by £6 interconnect, the fool and his money will be quickly parted.

I ordered some tube sockets - they were easy to buy online and delivered quickly and at a fair price.

who said customer service is dead ! I ordered an ecc82 valve for my blackstar 1 watt amp on 4th dec and received it at dinnertime 5th dec cant ask for more than that , and the quality of the valve is superb
