Let me start by saying I have been searching for a decent guitar kit in the UK for many years, and finally came across Kit Built Guitars.

They give you all the parts necessary to build a guitar, with fantastic quality kits at just ridiculously cheap prices. I have a 5 string Bass that in total (including paints and all other materials etc.) came in at well under £150, but easily trick people that I paid £800 for it. It is that good.

My Les Paul, while not in the league of a £2000 Gibson, easily outshines the cheap knockoffs and even my Epiphone, yet for 1/4 of the price, and the ability to customise how I see fit.

Would recommend to either a serious guitar player looking for some new kit, or the casual hobbiest looking for a new project. You won't be disappointed. As long as you have a reasonable level of skill (i.e can spray paint smoothly, can operate a screwdriver), you shouldn't find any difficulty in assembling.

I will be buying a few more kits, as keen to have a new semi-hollow and SG to add to my collection.
