Not That You Have Much Choice, But Would Avoid At All Costs
Just a poor company with zero customer service, zero regard for individuals, and little-to-no communication skills.
Were an absolute nightmare to deal with following the death of my dad, even after being provided with death certificate, will and grant of probate, they still chose not to correspond with me, but carried on sending letters to my dads flat.. even though I'd provided them with all my contact details on several occasions. Ended up missing communications regarding payment requests due to them being sent to the wrong place, and ended up being threatened with court action by their "solicitors" (themselves).
Their solicitors "act on behalf" of Compton, but are in fact Compton employees as well. They then take weeks to communicate with the service charge team before coming back to you with responses. It took 5 months for them to inform me that there was an outstanding balance that needed settling within 14 days otherwise would be taken to court. Even though from my point of view, the full balance was settled 5 months ago, but due to an error that they made providing the final figure, they had been "chasing" the balance for 5 months.. although I had only heard about it 2 days ago.
Feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with these people on a regular basis.

Passive Aggressive, Unhelpful Bureaucratic And Rude.
Compton Property Management Group assume that all leaseholders and tenants are bad who will not pay their service charge, ground rent and property insurance on time or at all; therefore, Compton communicate with leaseholders and tenants in a passive aggressive manner at all times. Calling the company involves talking to staff who are unhelpful and hide behind internal bureaucratic procedures to avoid dealing with any issue unless pressed to do so. When pressed staff are rude both verbally and in written format. The term 'customer service' is alien to Compton Group staff, who see their role as dictator instead of facilitator. My experience with Compton Property Management has been so poor that in future, I will not purchase any property managed by Compton, and if a property I own falls under Compton group I will sell the property immediately.

If you want your property managed by this grossly inccompetent outfit and be charged a fortune in the process, then look no further. I have never come across such an appalling property management company in my life! Avoid like the plague.

Shocking customer service. Bought lease off them and roughly at same time started to claim some adjoining land. They objected even though they wouldn’t have any adjoining land to said land and wouldn’t withdraw their complaint. Stubborn and virtually impossible to talk to anyone. Would recommend staying as far away as possible from this company!

Repeatedly wrote to us to say certain works were scheduled for certain dates and nothing happened on dates notified nor for some time afterwards.
Repeatedly failed to respond to request for repairs. Essential repair - quite basic - still outstanding at time of writing after 6 months. One bigger repair still outstanding after about 18 months.
Failed to supervise or monitor contractors’ progress. Had no idea what was going on on the site.
On one occasion arranged a contractor who did a bodge job.
Often did not answer phone and on one occasion nobody contactable all day.
Email responses to legitimate complaints very curt, no genuine apology, the tone has been to admonish us for daring to complain!
On one occasion demanded money that was not owed. When challenged, still insisted I owed it, and solicitor confirmed it was incorrect.

Terrible Property Service Management Company
Despite numerous emails and phone calls asking them to send all correspondence to a particular email address and to set up a direct debit payment, they just kept sending statements to my old postal address and didn't set up the requested direct debit.
Then when, surprise suprise, they didn't hear from me they would send letters threatening legal action for non-payment of the service charge.
On confronting them with their silly mistakes a member of their staff got upset and rudely put the phone done.
Avoid this company like the plague if you can.
