Bullies, Unreasonable And Extortionate.

I paid my ground rent and Buildings insurance in full and on time (Dec 2021). My insurance premium was amended "increased" mid-term by 95%, yes 95% just 3 months later. Unfortunately for me I unwittingly opted for e-billing and never noticed the amendment email (probably because I wasn't expecting it). It only came to my attention when I received a letter from their solicitors.

What started out as an amended amount of £164 on top of the £173 I had already paid is now £164 + £45 admin + £100 legal notice + £145 solicitor fees plus interest and VAT (a total of £484) I now have 2 working days left to pay it or I will be taken to court. All they needed to do was send me a letter in the post and although I wouldn't have been happy with the increase of 95% mid term I would have paid it. These agents are bullies and would urge no one to use their services. There is a dedicated section on Martin Lewis's website about how bad these people are. Of course, I have tried to reason with them via email but my emails are just passed on to their solicitors who will not budge and stress that they have acted accordingly (who am I to argue with a law firm?). I wish to god that I could choose a different insurer when my premium comes up for renewal but I have no choice. I will be writing the people who own the freehold expressing my disgust in the way I've been treated. Homeground! all it would have taken is a good old-fashioned "Letter" in the post regardless of whether I opted for e-billing? Some things are just too important to be sent by email? Surely that would have been easier than starting legal action?

Customer Service Non Existent

I have emailed several times, my lawyers have emailed I’ve tried to ring, I’ve visited their offices - a dingy flat on Bermondsey london with a nice lady who can only take messages and email to the same email they have on their websites thet gets no response. They are holding up my £3m property sale and hoping I can sue them if it goes wrong.

Do Not Buy A Flat Or House If Linked With This Company !

DO you really want to deal with a company who have no phone number so you can't speak to someone about your issues ? DO you really want to deal with a company who seem to struggle to correspond clearly and fully using email ? I have had nothing but issues with this group and would never deal with them again. In my opinion I would do yourself a favour and stay as far away as possible ?

Very Iffy Outfit

I agree with other comments. These are clearly a gang of chancers. I give them one star because that is the lowest ranking the system accepts. Accurate rating would be minus five. Stay away from them. You will get no compensation when all their directors are in jail.

Shocking Company

These chancers nearly lost us the sale of our property due to the delays in responding to emails. The stress they caused our family for not having a simple contact phone number is unforgivable. I feel sorry for property owners out there who have the misfortune of dealing with Home Ground

Terrible

Without doubt the most awful company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Please: *if you are a landlord/freeholder and thinking about using this company* consider the residents*. Speaking from experience and that of many others that live in our building, this is a shocking company, that have no consideration for tenants. They have no phone number and only provide an email address for contact which no one replies to! I have on record; countless emails that have gone unanswered relating to overcharges which they don't respond to. You only need to Google their company name to see others making similar complaints. If you're a resident and facing similar issues, please make a formal complaint and if it's not rectified (unlikley) then raise it to the Ombudsman (details inc.):
