This Company Represents The Worst Practices Of All
This company represents the worst practices of all property maintenance companies. It's annual charges are huge and inexplicably increase every year. When we (group of tenats in a property block) finally managed to get a rep down they were woefully inadequate and shocked us with their policies on maintenace checks etc. We broke down 6 monthly bill to find we had a shared a bil for over £900.00 for a fitted second hand wooden door. Solitaire do NOT check work done and just add any bills to the shared bill. This gives sub-contractors carte blanche to overcharge. Indeed the monthly grounds manitenace charge suprised the existing tenants as no one had been seen for months doing anything to the tiny amount of ground looked after by Solitaire. A truly shocking company!
Spot on! That's why they keep changing their trading name. They were Peverel after Solitaire, and are now First Port, but the shoddy reviews keep pouring in as they change their name but not their practice.

Trust Me Solitaire Treat Their Sub Contractors Lik
Trust me Solitaire treat their sub contractors like chit too, they hound tenants to pay the charges and dont pay anyone else, ive just had an email from the purchase ledgers dept telling me that they have paid a load of invoices dating from 08 back in july 09, hahaha dont know who they paid because it wasnt us, no evidence in the bank and no remiitance. Will be seeking legal advice and trust me it isnt the first time this has happened.
Hello, please email me. I have information you may find useful!

I Am Disgusted With Solitaire Pm, I Love My Flat B
I am disgusted with Solitaire PM, i love my flat but paying their ridiculous charges has ruined the whole experience. I would never have bought our place if i knew this would happen. We have received some outrageous charges in the past but we have today received a bill for £700 for a years 'overcosts' on top of the £800 a year that we already pay, this is between 6 flats and i just dont understand how they can get away with charging this much. Nothing gets done, no cleaning, no painting, no maintenance. I have complained variuos times and never receive a apology or any way to resolve. My so called property manager Denise Westbrook is never availble when i call and doesnt answer emails. I contacted Citiznes advice bureau but they could not help, i am now thinking of legal advice.

Iagree About Solitaire Being The Worst Company I
Iagree about Solitaire being the worst company I have ever come accross they do nothing to right their mistakes,no answers to emails lack of communication all they do is demand money, FOR WHAT ??? No one has been to the properties to find out what we are talking about when we ask questions are they afraid to meet us face to face I for one would be happy to see them & I know I am not alone in this. I too wish I had never bought this house owing to the high price I am having to pay to Solitaire for what I consider as wasted money for nothing. I wonder what Solitaire propose to charge for next. I want proof, dates of maintenance visits & some honesty.

I Am Too Giving Solitaire 0/5. I Agree With All Th
I am too giving solitaire 0/5. I agree with all the comments everyone else has made! I can't put into words what I actually want to say, I am so annoyed and upset with solitaire. They are complete jokers. We are currently going through the tribunal process, but I am unsure of how it is going to pan out really. If I had known that it would be like this I would never have brought my flat in the first place. I have never communicated with anyone helpful in soliatire, e-mails litrally take weeks for a reply, and on the phone you are normally on hold for at least 8 minutes, to then be passed from person to person, someone is off ill, someone is not on their desk, someone is on holiday, this person can't help you, This person will phone you back and then never does. It really makes my blood boil. They charge excessive charges for things that are not even done. There's just so many things, I would be here all night. Worst experience of any company ever known! ... EVER!

Hard To Believe A Business Like This Can Still Ope
Hard to believe a business like this can still operate in 2010. The company does not accept monthly direct debit payments (except via a third party who charge a percentage fee on every transaction) and requires lump some payments for 6 months up front. So rather than pay say £80 per month by direct debit one must budget ahead and in one month be prepared to pay over £500 in one shot. Terrible customer service overall, they once took 16 days to reply to an email enquiry I made. Seriously thinking about how our development can get away from this company.

I Would Like To Give Solitaire Zero But That Is No
I would like to give Solitaire zero but that is not an option. I will never buy leashold again. This company takes your [considerable] money and in my opinion runs. They do not even stick to their side of the contract. My building has had very little money spent on it that I can see, customer services are ineffectual and frequently rude. Since June this year I have tried to get a meeting with our manager but all e-mails were ignored until another owner [a man!!] requested a meeting and guess what it was arranged immediately. We are tied into an insurance company whose excess payment is £500!!! But were we asked about this? No it was imposed on us. We should all take over the management of our properties - it will cut our costs in half.
How about Watchdog?? Or the ombudsman??

Solitaire Are The Worst Company I Have Ever Had To
Solitaire are the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They are simply stealing money from those who are unfortunate enough to live in a property they so call"manage". When I moved here I was given a glossy brochure which is basically packed with lies. I just do not understand how this company is getting away charging people more and more for doing nothing! The builders who use them are almost as much to blame because they know what Solitaire are like but continue to use them. I will never buy a leasehold property again -it has been "money down the drain" My health is definatley suffering from the constant stress and frustration of trying to deal with this company.Surely Solitaires days are numbered with so many people writing reviews which clearly shows they are totally ripping people off. Its about time we all got our heads together and got the the company in the Courts.
Q&A
Hi, I looked at a flat this morning that I hope to buy to live in as a first time buyer. I thought I would research Solitaire the prop management company & have come across this website. All the reviews are very bad but they seem to be from 2011 could someone please let me know the latest situation. Is it avoid at all costs?
Regards
Alex
