I agree I've never been able to access this account online, however I do get a monthly statement so its never really been too much of an issue! I just make a transfer direct from my bank account each month, which is easy to keep track of. I use this card for buying from the topshop website, as I always buy 2 sizes and send one back, then pay for what ive actually kept, that way I dont have to wait for the refund to go back into my account each time. The APR isnt too high compared to other storecards and aslong as you pay it off in full each month that doesnt really matter! Never had a problem with this card.

What a useless card, obviously you can't even check your balance online. And in order to do so you have to call the number which is not free. Of course. Topshop store staff say that they can't help you either. Over all will get rid of this card ASAP.

I got this TOPSHOP card when I first turn 18, 12 years ago. It was okay. I got discounts and I could access my account via TOPSHOP store, where the advisor could ring up for the balance. It has always been an expensive card to have, but I found that if I paid it off in the correct time scale all was well. This was when GE CAPITOL ran the store card. Since SANTANDAR took over, it has been AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I too can never log on to the "easy access online" Topshop card webpage... It just sits there after I enter account number and password and doesn't even acknowledge you've pressed enter. But the do they provide a 10 pence a minute phone number... ARE THEY NOT CHARGING US ENOUGH?!! I've received no discounts for years... just a 6 monthly chance to be entered into a draw for a make-up bag full of make up worth £75....as long as I spend over £75.... Gosh, they do think I'm a Spanner. You can't stop using your card without closing the account first, they'll charge you, you can't over pay and put your account in credit, they'll charge for that too. Thankfully I do get my monthly 'very posh invoice' with glossy colour photos of drug addict girls on them, obviously where my high charges go. You can pay your card off in Dorothy Perkins, Burtons and other stores if you don't have a topshop. If you want an easy to use card... run a mile from this one.

Disappointing As I Love Topshop!!
Never been able to manage my account online. When I have called customer services, whoever I have spoken to doesn't understand what I'm asking and just keeps repeating the same thing like a robot. As promised when I signed up I have never received any of the so called perks of having a card. I never had any vouchers for joining, don't get preview sale emails or further discount on sales items within the first week. As a result I have now cancelled my card which is a shame as I really do like Topshop but it isn't worth the grief.

Awful. Santander are jokes. Pretend they have sent your account off to a debt collection company called Viking - this is not a real debt collection company as there is no details what so ever about them on the internet. They are just a part of Santander.

When I first starting using the Topshop card I was in awe as it was my first store card and really helped out paying after getting the item/items. This awe soon ended when it came to having to pay, Topshop make it practically impossible to be able to pay easily (Don't be fooled by the ads as I was). I have tried numerous times to register my card online so i can pay it off through the Topshop website, however the page doesn't respond, to which I have found out recently seems to be a common problem amongst Topshop card owners. So failing this I tried paying off over the phone...this service is good bar the fact that its an automated service (no human operators needed) and yet it still has opening and closing hours... I don't know if I'm suspicious but it seems that Topshop do all they can to catch the card users out and get their claws into late payment fees. Not impressed, will be cutting mine up in the next 5 minutes.

I cannot check my balance on my iPhone or iPad! And I don't have a computer so how am I meant to do this without ringing up?

If you get this card, you cannot check your statements online unless you have a very dated version of Internet Explorer, version 7 or below. It will not work on an Android, IPhone, IPad, Safari, Mac, Firefox etc.. Which in this day and age is appalling. You have to call a premium number to get your balance! The call centre is based in India, so there's a language barrier there and very scripted conversations. In addition, I have NEVER received any benefits, I.e the birthday treat, the discount in the sales etc.. The APR isn't good either, thankfully I pay it off in full each month. I'm going to get rid of it. BEWARE they have a clause whereby they charge you if you go into credit and remain that way for any period of time. I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST GETTING ONE!
What you have written has resonated with me. I have had this card for over a year and never been able to check my account online, I have contacted them several times about this and only just now has someone told me its because I have a mac. I don't use this card that much so I never thought about it but am now furious at all the time I have wasted trying to check balances and being fobbed off like I'm stupid not being able to get online (all at my phone expense too).
I agree with you that in 2013 this being the case, and with such big companies as TopShop and Santander is ridiculous and have just told the customer services adviser so and that they will be losing my business and as soon as I get the paper statement and can actually find out what I owe I will be cancelling this card!
It almost feels like a ploy for people to miss payments and therefore get charged (which has happened to me).
TopShop is mainly aimed at young people who use computers for everything so how this is the case I really am shocked about. I have never had such a problem with any other credit card.
Get your act together TopShop, its 2013!
