Gandhi Tandoori Restaurant, Mildenhall

I had attempted to eat lunch there the day before I had dinner and was told they were unable to serve lunch as it was 1:45Pm (closing for lunch was 2 PM) I suppose business was very good and they could afford to turn away diners pre-closing time. I tried it again for dinner tonight. The atmosphere was very nice. Linen table clothes and nice flatware. Well decorated and clean. The food was very good and the service was good though my white wine was warm and flat. My main complaint was the owners and wait staff were very cold and mechanical as though you were doing them a favor by dining there. Only one waiter smiled. The Turkish restaurant down the street was much nicer as was the owner/staff. Go to the Turkish restaurant Istanbul next door.

When I lived in the area we always went to Gandhi for Indian food. It was the first place I ever got it and it is still my favorite Indian restaurant I've ever eaten at. The Tandoori chicken is simply the best and I have never been able to get anything comparable in the United States. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to try Indian food.

gandhi is not a bad restaurant to go to... but i prefer the one across the road ( spice lounge ) reason why its alot bigger and the atmosphere is alot lively and maybe a little bit more value for money.

The staff was friendly and helpful and very speedy. The food is amazing. And the atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant and clean. Whether I just want to eat lunch by myself or if I'm gathering friends for a dinner party, I always consider this restaraunt first. I have and will continue to recommend this establishment to friends and family. I've had alot of Indian food in my lifetime, but Gandhi's is by far my favorite. I encourage everyone to eat there and experience it for yourselves!

The freshley prepared starter was luke warm and their main speciality dish was disapointing and bland. On the top of that the service was very poor as the waitor throwing the hot towel basket on the table says it all.

Excellent Food and Great staff, helpful with menu and make good reccomendations! Restaurant has a new manu now too and a different look. Pricey but the portions are very large and end up asking for it to be packed up!

This restaurant is a fantastic place for the family or to take a date. It is quite small and can get crowded, but you should be ok on a week night. Book for the weekend just to be on the safe side

Gandhi Tandoori is definitely recommended if you are just dipping your toe in the exotic and exciting world of Indian cuisine. Ask the knowledgeable staff what to order if you are unsure what items are; let your sense of adventure take control!

Friendly atmosphere. Staff was more than helpful in helping me make a selection based on my preferences. Good points, customer service, temperature and quality of food.
