Why The Trickery
I’m a fool. I see a damart ad or leaflet showing very good prices on offer. Each time it is out of stock. If they do have it the price is the full price even though if it’s a booklet the reduced price is shown. I am determined not to be taken in by this advertising any more. I am going to send back to them all their junk mail in future.
No chance of any recommendation from me. Everyone should avoid them at all cost.
Awful Service - Damart
Trying to make a payment online was a nightmare. Eventually had to phone Customer Services which cost me over £3. They promised the matter would be sorted out and I should not have a problem in future. Second payment was exactly the same, nothing came up under Personal Account online even though they had emailed me saying my statement was ready for review so I probably have another £3 added to my phone bill. Cancelled account. Really not worth the aggravation.

Poor Service Damart Not Interested I Keeping Customers
CALLED DAMART CUSTOMER SERVICE CHASING MY FIRST (AND LAST) ORDER IT STATED NO ORDERS OPEN IN SYSTEM. DAMART TOOK THE SUM OF £40.19 FROM OUR ACCOUNT WHEN I PLACED THE ORDER, ON 29 APRIL HOWEVER, IT DID NOT SHOW GOODS OUT OF STOCK AS I WOULD NOT HAVE PLACED THE ORDER FOR MY HOLIDAY TRIP NEXT SATURDAY IF THIS WAS SHOWN WHEN PLACING THE ORDER!!!!! SO MONEY TAKEN PRIOR TO SHIPPING. NO INFO FROM DAMART REFERENCE DELAYED ORDER. ON CONTACTING CUSTOMER SERVICE I WAS INFORMED THAT ALL GOODS WERE OUT OF STOCK AND NO INFORMATION AS TO WHEN THESE WOULD BE AVAILABLE. YOUR EMPLOYEE ALSO STATED THAT DAMART DOES NOT TAKE MONEY UNTIL GOODS SHIPPED WELL THEY DID!!!! THIS I BELIEVE IS IN FACT ILLEGAL!!.
AS THE GOODS WILL NOT ARRIVE IN TIME I CANCELLED THE ORDER AND DEMANDED A REFUND ONLY TO BE TOLD THIS WILL TAKE 10 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO THEY CAN TAKE FUNDS ILLEGALLY FROM MY ACCOUNT WITHIN A FEW HOURS BUT IT TAKES 10 DAYS TO REFUND IT.
I WILL BE REPORTING DAMART TO TRADING STANDARDS AND MAKE SURE THAT AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE ARE AWARE OF THERE INAPT WAY TO DEAL WITH NEW CUSTOMERS, THIS WILL BE ON GOOGLE REVIEWS AND FACEBOOK.
I WILL ALSO ENQUIRE IF YOU BROKE THE NEW REGULATIONS REGARDING COMPANIES HIDING THEIR TELEPHONE NUMBER AS YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE CALLED ME BACK AND MY PHONE DISPLAY SHOWED NUMBER WITHHELD. I UNDERSTAND THIS IS NOW ILLEGAL AS FROM 01/2016 I WILL ASK TRADING STANDARDS IF THIS IS ILLEGAL OR NOT AND IF SO REPORT IT TO THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY.
I AM AWARE THAT IN THE UK 2016 MOST SUPPLIERS DON’T CARE ANYWAY. ONLY MAKING AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE IS THE NUMBER ONE AIM.

The Worst Company!
I ordered clothing, a number of items in different sizes. Never did I realise that taking it back to the post office was not free of charge. So when I was told it would be £12 to return the goods I was amazed. I rang for them to come and collect and it was still £3.99! If that's not bad enough, to PLACE THE ORDER on the phone cost me £4.02! Absolutely abysmal service from their "Customer CARE". Never ever again - I had never heard of them until they fell out of Weekend Magazine in the Daily Mail - what a shame I found them! If I had know they charge like this, I would never have ordered with them. Luckily I stopped a colleague of mine from ordering before she made the same mistake.

Don't Use Their 0871 Phone Number.
The Damart order line number 0871 is a premium rate number costing 10p a minute. The call centre staff deliberately take their time to deal with calls usually ensuring that the average time to place even a simple order is around 6 - 10 minutes or 60p to £1 in call charges.
An easy & much cheaper way around this is to dial the head office number of 01274 xxx, this is a normal, non premium rate number, then ask for customer services you will get transferred to the order staff & then place the order.

Terrible Service And Delivery
Ordered eventually but they had mixed up my email address and ordering system did not tell me I was using 'wrong' email. Take days to answer queries - really days -and the answers do not cover all you have asked. Their individual computer systems do not appear to be linked. After sending about 12 emails they eventually told me (to the wrong email) they had despatched the order but not by which courier or when expected delivery was. I sent umpteen emails again, only to get an email this morning to say it was despatched by HERMES with a link to the tracking system but no number the HERMES system would accept to track, so useless and partial information again. Just opened my front door to find a parcel by my doormat and courier had ignored instruction to knock three times (full colour notice in very large print) and just dumped the parcel, which could easily have been stolen. Also, anyone seeing it might be encouraged to break in as it appears nobody in, whereas I was and am.
DAMART are frankly dangerous to use - I have kept the two items even though one is the wrong colour as I am too intimidated to go through a returns process.
My advise - do not use computer ordering with Damart if you expect efficient, quick, and 'distance ordering legislation compliant service' from them on line. They simply do not do it.

Disgusting Service
i wanted three items in a hurry. I was told that because it was my first order with them, they would not offer express delivery. Who made up THAT stupid rule? My credit card is the same as if I'd ordered in the past.
I would NEVER EVER buy from Damart, NEVER recommend them, and have torn up their advertisement in disgust.

There are other factors that can affect the provision of express delivery on an order including stock availability and service being available in your area.

Done Like Toast!
I have used Damart products for almost 30 years and been pleased with the products. However, when I wanted to place my order today, the website marked up items that were suppose to be on sale! It refused to let me place my order even at the higher price and when I tried to call them the phone number did not work either! I'm done with you Damart!

Customer Service Is A Joke.
As unable to access my account via net I ordered a jacket from Damart. by telephone 8th Feb. money taken from my bank 9th Feb. also couldn't place order by net as although advertised their website did not recognise part number. Paid 0871 10per minute to order by phone. The jacket ordered did not appear on my account. Emailed twice on status of order..no reply. Jacket appeared via Hermes 12th Feb. Poor quality..Broken zip..size purchased 14-16. but surprisingly too small. Returned within 15 minutes of receipt via Hermes. Emailed explaining but once again 1 week later still no reply. Rang 0871 to be told it takes 14 days for returns to appear on their system. Ring back in a weeks time. If I ever go near this company again would someone shoot me PLEASE... I await with interest the refund!

You i don't know why I keep bothering with damart but I do, silly me. You forget your password and they tell you that they have sent you an email with a new one. But they fail to do this. Then you contact them and they don't respond. Very poor customer service.

How do I go about checking on an order?
All reviews I have read have been derogatory of Damart. I too feel the same way. I want them to stop sending me their emails and catalogues. I have repeatedly asked them to stop sending these and still I am getting them. So then, my question is please can you tell me which is the only way to get them to stop sending me their marketing material, both in emails and in the post? I want them to stop sending me their correspondences. What method works to get them to stop doing this? I need to know please. I am getting so annoyed with this unwanted marketing. Thank you in advance.
