An absolutely filthy caravan and swimming pool..

Holiday here last wk for 7 days in a 'top of the range' LEVEN CARAVAN costing £349 for the 7 days...

Caravan was absolutely FILTHY inside had FUNGUS in both the bathroom, and something growing between the adjoining walls of the main double bedroom and single room..(I say this from a degreed qualified position)...

Numerous broken articles and missing pieces...Carpet throughout matted with filthy!Place crawling with dust...Had to wash all dishes myself...Tables tea stained and sticky..

CON GELLED PEE & PUBIC HAIR behind toilet

SWIMMING POOL has no footbath before entry..and for some curious reason my very expensive swimsuit was bleached beyond belief after using there pool (makes you wonder)..And is bloody freezing..

Never used site entertainment and food served at any of there venues was of a frozen reheat variety..very poor quality..

On contacting the site manager was met by a very glib arrogant man that is obviously there on an easy ride...(dont waste your breath on them..) AND I quote 'the vans only get a cursory clean at change over'..AND 'Dont have the manpower to check or have itineraries ' Funny that!!!

A very very poor run site which is a great shame as the location was stunning!!!

Came home last night after the caravan let out a god almighty bang and a lurch,and i didnt fancy spending the night in the North Sea!!!

Grannies Helan Hame Holiday Park, Dornoch - play areas drab crazy golf all need updating not enough on site considering its rural location only allowed 50 minutes swim and have to book not allowed any longer even though the baths were empty sea views great when not raining! very repetitive nightly entertainment so much so the children wanted to stey in.this holiday would suit hikers not really a family holiday when you are constantly looking for something to do of course when booking we knew it would be quiet but the surrounding area offers a couple of castles and dolphin cruises (that we did do and pay £55:00 for and would have had more look seeing nessie!)|

im telling you we have just had a wonderful week at Grannies. The site is great and our caravan was virtually on the beach! we all loved this especially lucy our 5 year old daughter. we rockpooled, swam, built sandcastles, picknicked and barbequed on whatmust be one of the best beaches we have ever been on. we loved witting in the caravan at night and looking out over the bay - wonderful. the site is great. lucy loved the park and the club and sepnt most evenings running around the park with other kids. the area is great too. we have never been to the highlands but we loved it and will be back. lots and lots to do and see and there are so many great wee toons to walk around and enjoy the pace and style of life. oh yes and we had great weather. in the words of lucy wilson ' i give the holiday 10 out of 10 out of 10 out of 10' high marks indeed!

Grannies Helan Hame Holiday Park was clean, well looked after accomodation. Nice location with clean beach. Adequate facilities, shop was very reasonably priced, not inflated for tourists which was nice. Quite a small park, but great entertainment and range of activities. There was a lack of anything to do locally. Shop closed too early. The crazy golf course looks like it was designed and built by noah before he took up ark building! Fine for a relaxing short break, but not for action seekers.
