Canico, Oasis Atlantic Hotel. Excellent food, very clean, great service. Staff very friendly, went out of there way to help.

Entertaiment very basic.

Bus in to funchal always on time.

Indoor and out door pool great.

Would highly recommend.

New year was great at Oasis Atlantic Hotel, Canico, fire works in funchel excellent, hotel arrange a bus in to funchel on the night. On arrival the hotel staff meet you and escort to a vantage point to watch the display, with champagne to toast the new year. Best ever new year. Food exellent, rooms large, views great, staff friendly.

We have visited the Oasis Atlantic four times over the last five years, and are very much looking forward to going again at the end of this month. This must surely speak for itself. We would agree with all of David Dale's comments and add that this hotel is the only one we have stayed in which has kept nearly all of its members of staff since we started visiting it. It must be a happy place to work.

I stayed at hotel in late May had a lovely week. Rooms were so clean staff couldn't do enough for you views from our room were breath taking cant wait to go back soon!

The Oasis Atlantic Hotel in Canico, Madeira was OK, but for the price you pay it is not worth the money. It is fairly secluded from the rest of Madiera, and there are not much in the way of restaurants about. it is fairly rowdy, and not good for people wanting a relaxed holiday. Rita the parrot is a menace.

The rooms were clean. I wouldn't recommend any of the tours. Waste of money! Lace factory - need I say more?

I would strongly recommend that you upgrade your Oasis Atlantic Hotel room to a junior suite, on the front of the building to maximise your views, these suites are spacious, have a separate bedroom, dining area/kitchenette, which has everything you could possibly want for your stay. if there is no suite available, then a room with a pool view will make your stay memorable.

The hotel itself just seems to get better, the staff treat you with unreserved friendliness and courtesy, cannot do enough to please, the service in the restaruant gets better, the food is absolutely gorgeous, my wife and I put on a lot of weight during this last fortnight.

The nightly entertainment is both proffessional and colourful, with a variety of local artists, some of which deserve to be on a far bigger stage than Canico.

The free bus to the Island capital (Funchal) makes numerous trips every day and also goes to the village of Canico where the locals shop at the SA supermarket (the best value for your holiday shopping needs).

This year it was nice to see a lot more families at the hotel, the children really enjoyed the pool, which is absolutely spotless, is cleaned every morning and is a joy to swim in.

All in all another excellent holiday, we have no reservations about recommending this hotel to anyone.

Canico de Baixo is not a touristy area, it is very much a Madeirian experience, once you have been there, you, like me will want to go back year after year.

My wife and I have stayed at the Oasis Atlantic Hotel in Madeira for the last two years running. Going in January, we have upgraded to a junior suite which provides extra accommodation space, a kitchenette, and with a pool view. It is exquisite, and the views out to sea are to die for. The food is first class. The standard of accommodation is absolutely superb. Flexi dining is best to take advantage of the many excellent restaurants nearby. Go on B & B basis and you can please yourselves. The evening entertainment is superb too.

The Oasis Atlantic Hotel in Canico was our first holiday destination and sadly every other alternative that we've taken/considered have fallen short of the mark set by Oasis Atlantic. We enjoyed a lovely week there in the care of courteous, hospitable staff, relaxing by a spacious pool that always had free sun loungers, and with the hotel's complimentary shuttle bus we were never far from the capital of Madeira (Funchal) either. There were many wonderful restaurants along the promenade from the hotel, and the standard of catering in the hotel itself was second to none as well. An ideal base to visit a paradise island.

Atlantic Holidays provided an excellent programme of optional activities and away-days, all at reasonable prices.
