Pestana Village

Very pretty hotel and gardens but the food was pretty dismal (only had two meals because they were free) so ate elsewhere which was quite expensive. Our Aparthotel room had a fridge and 2-plate hob but nowhere to store food and no cereal/dessert bowls so I borrowed some from the restaurant. Room was very clean but slightly tatty. Had to pay 5 euros per hour to hire an iron & board which was surprising so would take a travel iron next time. Also, no flannels in the bathroom but it did have a bidet which was very useful. Must mention that there is a fairly steep walk from the road up to the hotel - the last thing you need after walking around town all day and catching the bus back (bus stops right outside). Pleasant stay though.
