Stayed Here With A Couple Of Mates In August, Over

Stayed here with a couple of mates in August, overall had a real good time. The bars and clubs are open late and the room itself was good for what I saw of it. After a heavy night bought tickets for the Pirate show and would say go for it - it was a good laugh.

I Booked An Appartment At Martique And It Was The

I booked an appartment at Martique and it was the worst mistake that I ever done!!! Martinique is full of youngsters age 18-25 that are drunk 24 hours a day. Between the screams and loud music and people continuosly exposing themselfs this is beyond your worst nightmare. I needed to call the security guy every single night sometimes 2/3 a night resulting in some people being throw out. In my third night I went to the reception and demanded my money back because I couldnt tolerant another night without sleep. They changed us to other room claiming to be more quite but when we got there guess want? For start the shower was blocked and never fixed until we left, lots of cookery was missing no pans at all,the toilet water was running day and night and we couldnt close resulting in sleepless nights. The appartments are clean but my advise unless you drink at the point of lose your memory in the previous night in order to not hear the noise do not stay in that hotel. For a few pounds you can find a much better accomodation. Definitely not suitable to families with young children, couples and older people.

This Hotel Made My Holiday. We Made Friends That W

This hotel made my holiday. We made friends that will be mates for a lifetime and gave us the opportunity to catch an hour of sleep here and there (hope you don't need sleep if you go to Magaluf)

When We Arrived At The Hotel It Looked Very Clean

When we arrived at the hotel it looked very clean and well maintained. We arrived about 3 hours before check-in, but we were allowed to check-in anyway. We were given room 112, on the first floor, only about 15 steps to climb, which was quite good, although there is a lift if you're drunk or feeling lazy.

When we entered the room, again, it was very clean, but the cupboard doors in the kitchen were a bit loose, hanging off their hinges, and the fridge door was very rusty, but inside it was spotless, which was the main thing. The view was overlooking the back entrance to the hotel. As we have two kids I went to reception and asked if it would be possible to get a room overlooking the pool. I was told yes, but it would be on the 5th floor, and as there was a lift that seemed OK. I took the luggage back to reception, only to be told there had been a mistake, and we would not be able to change rooms until Sunday (this was Friday), so I took the luggage back up to 112. The wife was not amused. We lived out of the cases for a few days then went back to reception on Sunday for our move, only to be told it will now be on Monday. We unpacked in 112 and didn't go back to them again.

The entertainment in the hotel at night is either a quiz or karaoke, and once a fortnight there is some sort of entertainer on. There is a kids entertainer on during the day, but not many kids join in, so make your own mind up on that.

The pool is very clean and a fair size. There is a lifeguard on duty all day, but he didn't seen to bother about the kids jumping in off the bridge. There is also a heated indoor pool, and it was like a sauna, which was very relaxing after the colder outdoor pool.

The hotel is not yet a non-smoking zone, which suited me but might not suit others. The supermercado joined onto the hotel has a large selection, BUT check the expiry dates, as my eldest bought a packet of crisps which expired on December 2005 - this was in October 2006.

For the first 8 days there was no sign of a maid service, and on the 9th day she came and changed the towels, but we received no clean bedding. Two days later we got clean bedding for two beds and new towels, and on the 13th day, the day before we checked out, we got more towels, all four beds were changed and the floor was finally washed. Oh, and the ash try was washed every time she came in.

The TV can be switched on in your room for 4 Euros a day, but if you have kids watch out for channel 10, as it is porn for 24 hours a day.

IF YOU JUST WANT A PLACE TO SLEEP WHILE ON HOLIDAY THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. IT IS QUITE CHEAP, CLEAN AND FAR ENOUGH AWAY FROM THE NIGHTLIFE TO GET A DECENT SLEEP.

When We First Drove Up The Martinique Apartments,

When we first drove up the Martinique Apartments, it did not look great, however this was just the view from one side of the hotel and immediately when we walked in we were impressed. There is a large marble reception, an excellent pool and everywhere is very clean. All the balconies were really big, our apartment being on the first floor had and extra large balcony. All the rooms have air conditioning, and in-room phones. There are only 5 floors, but there are loads of rooms. It's not really suitable for families during peak season as there is a lot of noise in the early hours of the morning but I would definitely recommend it to any young groups of people wanting to go. It's close to the beach, and there's a really great pub opposite called 'The Local'. It's really friendly, cheap drinks and a great place to start drinking before you head off to the square or the strip. There's also a massive playground in front of the hotel which is great fun when you're coming home from a night out!!

Had A Fantastic Week At Martinique. Not Luxurious

Had a fantastic week at Martinique. not luxurious but excellent value for money, comfortable and adequate for what you need. Very friendly hotel, easy to make friends. would definitely recommend the accomodation to anyone young going for a beach and clubbing holiday. Excellent location with club strip, bars, beach, shops, water park and supermarkets all within very easy walking distance. Good facilities like the swimming pool, tennis court, football, mini golf, table tennis etc. area fab for clubbing etc. and not at all the trashy kind of place we expected. You feel safe going out and everyine is friendly just having a really good tim. MCP (Magaluf club pass) is great value for money (10 euros for 5 clubs and a free drink). BCM is the BIG famous club in Magaluf but quite expensive (the all inclusive thing is a slight rip off)Panama Jack's a great bar for drinks and pre-club dancing. Aqualand a good day out. Palma worth a visit -nice shops as well as a bit of local culture. Re: clubbing note that clubs don't get busy before one but they're open til six. People generally don;t head out till 11 or 12.Top tip - a very cheap (duty free) local booze shop is down near the bank and just before Mcdonalds - blue shop. have an awesome holiday anyone who goes - you'll love it.

Good review, thanx. I go tot the Martinique Apartments in Magaluf on Friday. Having stayed at the Jungla for the last 3 years I'm a bit nervous what to expect. Do you really need to hire a kettle and toaster?
