Stayed Santa Clara 6/6/2013
We stayed at Santa Clara for a weeks holiday, 2 bedroom apt was quite small for 4 people but it was basic and clean, our room was cleaned 3 times whilst we were there and if we needed more change of towels the friendly receptionist td us to let him know. There's us 2 pools, mon to fri was quite around the pools at the weekend a bit busier with Spanish people, as some of the apts are privately owned, we were still able to get a sun longer, the snack bar sold lovely food, at reasonable prices, the apts are also very central for shops, restaurants and surrounding bars. The weather was lovely in the 70's and started to get even warmer 2days before we left. I would stay at the Santa Clara apts again if I visited Playa De Ingles again.

We Were Pleasantly Surprised At How Ideal The Lcoa
We were pleasantly surprised at how ideal the lcoation was. Within a short walk from shops, restaurants and the beach. Bungalows themselves were fairly simply furnished but clean and you had your own garden for personal space. There were two clean pools as well. The staff were helpful. The downside for me was the site bar shut early but for us that's not a big deal. It wasn't expensive and you got what you paid for. I'd recommend the Santa Clara Bungalows for anyone at these prices.

Arrived At Santa Clara Bungalows In The Early Afte
Arrived at santa clara bungalows in the early afternoon. Was greeted by reception staff who were very pleasant. We stayed at bungalow 226. The bungalow had two spacious bedrooms and a tidy size living area. The patio area was quite big and great for chilling out and realaxing. The yumbo centre was only a short walk away and had plenty of bars and shops. The only downside about the centre was the timeshare people with their scratchcards. Weather was beautiful and there was alaways plenty to do. If you do have time I recommend palmitos park. Its and excellent day out for adults and children with fantastic animal shows and has a wonderful range of tropical birds. Only bad points were the shower was'nt very powerful and the hot water did'nt last very long. The cooker did'nt heat very well and the tv did'nt have a good range of british channels.
We are hoping to return to santa clara bungalows soon.
I Stayed At Santa Clara For The First Time For 2 W
I stayed at Santa Clara for the first time for 2 weeks in September 08 and would never return nor recommend it to anyone else. As a party of 4 aged 18 - 21 we were treated like criminals from stepping through the door. On an evening we were constantly told to "shut up" by a security guard when we were just sat talking in the garden (not loud at all). We had a family living next door that were screaming and shouting at all hours and nothing was ever said to them. The local also took over the place on a weekend and were very rude. The staff there didn't have any manners and if we asked them anything the weren't helpful at all. We didn't go to santa clara expecting a palace but our room was disgusting and after watching the maids clean I found out why! We were the only young group staying there and I think our age had something to do with how we were treated, although we never caused any trouble, therefore I wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone under the age of 50. However Playa del ingles itself was good some of the bars can be expensive in the main parts (Casbah and Yumbo) but we found a great english pub just up the road nick named mad Mackers it was cheap and had a great atmosphere, overall I would go back to playa del ingles but would never stay at santa clara again.

The The Santa Clara Bungalows Complex Was Brillian
The The Santa Clara Bungalows complex was brilliant it had two massive sized pools an two pools for the little kids. There is a lot of Spanish there an you will need to put your towels out around the pool very early to make sure you get a bed.
I would definitely recommend these bungalows. I'm booking again very soon!

Just Got Back From A Two Week Stay At The Santa Cl
Just got back from a two week stay at the Santa Clara Bungalows and it was excellent! This was my fifth time to Playa del Ingles but my first to Santa Clara. I was a little worried about what the bungalow would be like, as it was such a bargain. It was lovely, newly refurbished and really spacious. We booked a one bedroom bungalow for myself, hubby, daughter and baby. I thought we could make do with one bedroom but we were actually given a 2 bedroom. The bungalow also had a front and back garden that had gates, so it was really good for the kids. Not all bungalows were like this so we were lucky. Though it did seem that people with kids were given the ones with secure gardens.
The actual complex is also really nice, everything has been recently renovated so it all looked really nice. The pool bar was good, although only open till 5pm, with a happy hour where you get 2 beers for the price of 1, they also sold nice reasonably priced snacks. The only bad point about the Santa Clara was that the pools were freezing but that may have been because it was January!
The reviews I read beforehand, a lot of people complained about cockroaches and ants, I can honestly say that we did not see one single cockroach in two weeks. We had a few ants but there was spray provided in a cupboard. Just be careful not to leave food lying around!
The Greek restaurant next door does really nice food, not cheap though, but worth going to one night.
Santa Clara is also in a really good position, 5 minutes walk either way takes you to the Gran Chaparral, the Yumbo or the Kasbah.
We had a fantastic holiday and although we've only been back two days, I'm looking at booking again!

For A 1 Key Complex, The Santa Clara Bungalows Wer
For a 1 key complex, the Santa Clara bungalows were surprisingly pleasant to stay in. Despite what we'd heard, we didn't see any cockroaches in the apartment in the two weeks we were there.
The staff were pleasant and ever helpful, and quick to solve any problems we had with our bungalow and the equipment in it (faulty fridge replaced within 1 hour of reporting it).
If you had an enquiry about any trip, they gladly telephoned on your behalf and booked where required, so you didn't have the language barrier to contend with. The safety deposit box could do with being accessible to people with disabilities (located on the ground at the back of the wardrobe).
There is a play park for kids up to 12 years, 2 adult and 2 kids swimming pools and a bubble pool. The pools were very clean and well stocked with sunbeds, no matter what time of day a bed was always available.
All in all a great family place to stay, convenient to all shopping centres and nightlife.
We will definately go again next year but will book direct with the bungalows and a lot cheaper.
