Puerto Rico, Eden Apartments

Oh how I wish I was still sipping Malibu cocktails and sunning myself amid the mountain backdrop and stunning views from the Eden Apartments. Just back (Sept. 2011) from lovely Puerto Rico being my first trip to Gran Canaria and cannot wait to get back there! The weather was 32 degrees every day and that, together with the even warmer Canarian welcome received from the staff at the Eden, I cannot recommend this hotel more. From Michael and Virginia in the restaurant, to Jamie who kept us all entertained to Kim in reception - all were so very helpful and always had a cheery smile - nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are large and spacious, if a little dated, and even though we stayed on an All Inclusive basis the apartment had a fully fitted kitchen and even a hairdryer in the bathroom (so no need to pack one in your suitcases ladies!) The food was plentiful and replenished very quickly, always hot and had lots of choice (I never had the same meal twice the whole week I was there!). And a full English brekkie was on offer every morning! The large swimming pool was very clean and there were plenty of sun loungers so no need to reserve one at the crack of dawn! Only downside and no reflection whatsoever on the hotel were the TimeShare Touts! BEWARE!! They are on all street corners and very persistant! Just back from a brilliant all inclusive week in Eden apartments and wish we were back there now!! The staff were so friendly, polite and helpful, we could not fault any of them at all. Food was superb, not once were we disappointed with the any of the meals, and never a problem getting served for drinks. Entertainment every day and night for everyone.

Rooms were fairly basic but always clean with a good size balcony, perfectly adequate for our needs.

No problem getting sunbeds and cushions available if required.

Overall a fantastic holiday that we all enjoyed and would definitely recommend.

Is it a family orientated complex and loud/lively but a clean, safe friendly place.

Entertainment , from 2pm in the afternoons thought to midnight , there was bingo , kids and adult pool activities , karaoke ,kids mini disco, quizzes and main acts at 10pm which were brilliant.

Food , we were all inclusive could not fault anything, plenty of hot fresh food with a good variety together with salads.

Rooms , bit dated but so clean and well maintained ample storage , 3 full lenght mirrors an a really powerful hairdryer , even thought all inc we have a full kitchen with fridge which was good to store water.sun creams and aftersun in.

Location , good walk to the beach defo not for the old or those with young kids but a taxi is 4euros , well worth it.
