Disgusting Service
have had an absolute nightmare experience with guitar guitar. First I ordered epiphone 2014 dot cherry pre owned a orange crush 20 amp and a lead. I recieved an email to say they would be delivered Monday. So I booked the day off work. I did aive chat Sunday Monday to conform it would be mo day and again I was told it was being processed and woukd be with me Monday. An hour later I recieved an email to say there had been an error and someone had already purchased the guitar and it was no longer available. I asked for a manager to call me back to sort this mess. I recieved a call rom a manager to say apologise and say he had found another one in the exact same condition and colour and woukd send that for delivery but couldn't make the Monday. I understood and said Tuesday would be fine so I contacted my manager and booked another day of work as I was told all deliveries must be signed for. I recieved an email from DPD to say all 3 parcels were on there way to the Birmingham depot with 3 separate order numbers. The next morning I received another email each with a one hour time slot. Firs the guitar was delivered. Then I recieved 2 more emails one with an updates time for the lead and 1 to say the amp would no longer be delivered today and would probably be delivered Wednesday. I co tacted DPD and they said the parcel had not been recieved in time for a Tuesday delivery. Now I have to book a third day off work losing 3 days pay for an order thst only totals £410 so with lost earning this order has cost me nearly £800. The service is a joke of I'd known you used DPD I wouldn't have ordered in the first place they are the worst delivery company out there. My company has stopped using them after we had a parcel thrown over the company gates. The whole experience with guitar guitar has been a nightmare and one I will not go through again. I was looking at purchasing a number of guitar but will not risk this type of thing happening again. I have posted a review and will continue to inform people of social media of the experience I have had. As I explained in the webchaàt and when I spoke to the manager the items were a birthday present. I had to tell my son he had to wait until he came back from school for his present then I had to give him a guitar he couldn't play it's been a disgusting experience. One other need to know before making a purchase from guitar guitar. The only bright side to the experience is the guitar is in excellent condition and when I post the reviews I will mention that to make the review honest and a fair account of what has happened.

Waste Of Time
An absolute waste of time. I ordered/payed for a Gibson sg from these jokers, 20 hours later, I received an email telling me that the guitar was sold to someone else(probably an employee or friend of). Then they had the audacity to offer me a basic tribute model instead. I have ordered many times, and spent good money at guitarguitar but will never use these clowns ever again.
I am still waiting for my refund five days later. I was emailed by two different members of staff who both had conflicting versions of why they sold a guitar that I had already purchased.

Bought a "faulty" guitar there. A strange anomaly from the Taylor factory. The staff were nothing but helpful and replaced it after a lot of help. I highly recommend their service and sales care. A refreshing change in a world that doesn't always value their customer. A massive thank you to everyone there. You can buy with confidence from this store. Squier Fsr Offset Paranormal Tele Dakota Red
Wanted a offset telecaster for a long time..being a mustang and jaguar player I wasn't sure. Just got the red offset telecaster from guitar guitar and reading the reviews I feel I must have got the one in a million as mine was well packed and ready to go I played for around two hours..set up is amazing no buzz or muddy sound with the volume all the way up.
Hell of a guitar for the money feels more like a Mexican fender then a squier..
Anyone wanting one of these get it you will not be disappointed

Very Poor Technical Knowledge
I purchased a £1899 guitar.
When the guitar arrived several of the plastic tuning pegs were cracked and turning freely. I contacted Guitar Guitar, initially they did not know what tuners were fitted to the guitar. When I explained what tuners were fitted to the guitar they offered to pay for replacements if I purchased them, as they did not have any in stock. When they found out the price they then decided the guitar had to be returned to them.
I found cheaper replacements which were only 16 euros they refused to pay for these and want me to return the guitar so they could repair it.
Given the technical knowledge shown and the fact the guitar had been dispatched in that condition I decided to keep the guitar and replace the tuning pegs at my expense as I do not trust their technicians to do a proper repair as I suspect they would just glue the pegs on.
What sort of quality control do they have which allows a high end guitar out of the door with several damaged turners.
I would not reccomend Guitar Guitar to anyone.

I ordered a Fender Amp Mustang Micro SKU: 201202364713025 (New) from their web site 0n 7th September 2021. The item was shown in stock and promised delivery next day. I paid extra to guarantee next day delivery.
The item didn't turn up but I received an email from DPD saying 'We're sorry, your parcel has been delayed due to an unexpected issue'. Nothing shown on their tracking system.
I contacted Guitar Guitar to enquire about the item and also ask for a refund of the extra money for next day delivery. I did receive a refund of £3 through to Paypal, although for some reason I haven't been able to get the money transferred to me.
When the item wasn't delivered by DPD 2 days after it was supposed to turn up, I contacted Guitar Guitar and said I wanted to cancel the order and get my money back.
They told me that soon as this one is back in our possession we'll have the funds refunded right back to you. I queried why they had to wait for the item as I had never received it in the first place. If DPD has lost the item, under this rule, I would never get my money back.
On the 13th September 2021 I received an answer to my email saying 'The reason that we cannot refund the goods until they arrive back here is that there is still a chance the item will be delivered to you in error even though we have requested its return, which I'm sure you can appreciate is something that could cause unnecessary hassle if it were to happen. As soon as this is checked back in here we'll have the refund actioned immediately so it's back with you with minimal delay, this will likely be tomorrow'.
On the 16th September I received yet another email from DPD saying
'We'll now deliver your Guitar Guitar parcel WEDNESDAY 8th September 2021'
Their drivers obviously have the ability to go back in time!!!!
I contacted Guitar Guitar at 9:52 on the 16th September asking
'Please let me know what is happening?
I have just received the attached email saying the parcel has been delayed for a delivery 8 days ago
As I said in my previous email, I have cancelled the order and STILL awaiting my refund.
To be honest I am disgusted with the poor service from Guitar Guitar and will never be using your organisation again.
Please expedite the refund of my money and I respectfully suggest you change you delivery company'
A day later on Friday 17th September, I still have no answer to email and NO refund of money.
Even though we are living in uncertain days, the service from Guitar Guitar has been extremely poor

Wrong Item Received
I was sent the wrong item (Seymour Duncan Pearly gates) instead of an Antiquity II and took their time to respond. When they finally did they arranged to have item collected. They asked for photos of the item I received which I sent, guitarguitar then agreed to arrange collection. After a few days I got an email back to say that they never sent this guitar pickup. I was a bit taken aback by their response as I had already submitted photographs, so why not point this out before collecting the item? The fact is they never had the item in stock that I ordered, and now have sent me a different Seymour Duncan pickup to the same value - but this is not the point, it is not what I ordered and does not fit a mini humbucker guitar - i.e. Firebird. They claim to have attempted two return deliveries, but even if I was out we have a 24 hour concierge who collects the mail at reception and have not taken one delivery from guitarguitar. They furthermore question my collection address even though they successfully collected the return from here! Fools. Unacceptable customer service! I have been shopping at their Camden store and purchased 3 guitars and various other bits for gigs, so they will never get my business again! It's a shame because the branch staff I know are very good. When it comes to online shopping it can be a nightmare.

The worst online shopping experience I have ever had.
My wife brought me a new guitar for Christmas, a Shecter Banshee Extreme with the floyd rose. It was an ex demo model and so slightly cheaper, a bargain. The guitar was delivered very quickly and I was really happy with the guitar, visually it was stunning and it was just what I was looking for in terms of specs. I played the guitar to check it was OK before it was put away for christmas. It had an issue with the 3rd fret on the high E string, it just choked out. I got in contact with guitarguitar who had mentioned the possibility of getting it repaired or having it sent back to them for repairs. It was mentioned in an email that I had been copied into that as it was an ex demo guitar there was not a lot of profit left in the guitar. I went and got quotes for the repair from a couple companies, one who assured me it could be repaired in time for christmas. Guitarguitar arranged for a collection but said that it would not be back in time but between christmas and new year. I emailed and called on christmas eve when I spotted a preowned version of the same guitar on their website and it was a hundred pound cheaper. Knowing this was an even better bargain I made sure to get through to speak to somebody to make the arrangements. I did speak to somebody in sales who agreed it was a good option and they told me to email to make arrangements, I told them I had and I was told to expect an email back. I waited and was told that the preowned guitar was not available, first it was because they said it was my one ? and then because they had already sold it. I told that it would need to go back to the supplier and supplier would re open on the 5th of Jan, I waited. I emailed on the 5th of Jan got a response on the 6th telling me that they were planning to send it off but we discussed the possibility of reordering the guitar, a brand new one same price and in the colour I wanted. At this point its nearly been a month and I have waited so far so what's a little bit longer and I'll get it in the colour I wanted. I emailed them over a week later to find out the status, no email back. The next day I am told that they can't re order my guitar, like it or lump it, choose another guitar or take your money back. A whole month of chasing these people around and I am no better off. I have to wait 2 weeks for my money back. They only kept me informed when I contacted them, I have asked to speak to a manager over 10 times and they just keep repeating the same thing. They act like Vicky Pollard in little britain, Computer says no..... If your looking to buy a guitar, think twice about guitar guitar. Unless you like playing silly games of course, whatever floats your boat. They wanted me to cancel from the start, they didn't want to incur any costs to rectify their mistakes. They dug their heels in and had me wait for a month for no reason. They made promises and did not deliver. If you order from this place, just pray your guitar is ok. Guitarguitar is a managerless company and that is why they are all incompetent. Now they are able to order a new guitar in new condition and sell it at a new price to somebody else. They come away victorious, I spent over a month battling these people and have nothing to show for it. Their customer service is shockingly bad and they will tell you anything to get you off the phone. They ruined my christmas and soured my guitar buying experience.
Since I wrote this review, a manager from guitarguitar has reached out to try and sort out the problems I have been having.

Stock System Issues
I have used Guitar Guitar for years and the service just isn't what it used to be. I recently bought a guitar online from them at £599 only to receive an email the following day, after they took my payment, to say that the item is no longer in stock. I have been advised that it can take up to 2 weeks for a refund and will now miss this weeks sales due to their pitiful systems. This seems to be a common theme at the moment going with other recent reviews I have read. I advise to go into the store or shop elsewhere. Stay clear of their website!
