Choromar Apartments

We arrived at Choromar in April of this year. We hadnt downloaded our vouchers for the roooms but hey could tell we were tired so they dealt with it and gave us our room keys. My partner and I had our 3 children with us and we travelled with my brother, his wife and her sister, and their 3 children. Our apartment was in the main block on the lower ground so access to the pool was excellent. Our oldest son drowned on the 3rd day and all staff were very helpful and translated to the ambulance for us.

If you don't like noise then the main block isnt for you as every night in the bar they have music until about 3am and people getting drunk outside. We didnt mind as we knew what to expect being so close to the bar.

Every day apart from Wednesday they have a free shuttle that takes u to either praia de oura or praia de albuferia which will take u at 9am and collect you and 3pm.

The montochoro strip is about a 20 minute walk away or u could get a cab for about €5 €6 depending on who u get.

There is a little supermarket about a 7 min walk away which is handy as choromar has a minimarket but its overpriced. The bar food is bloody nice and cheap too.

We got a taxi to lidls which was about €7 so either use lidls or supermarket. ...not the minimarket!!

I thoroughly recommend Choromar to all familys and anyone wanting a cheap holiday. The algarve is such a beautiful place and Choromar is a awesome place to rest your head and have some laughs.
