like grounds the hotel is in been there twice before when thompsons had it now its gone to the dogs would not recommend it for familys

Went on a wks holiday with friends and we booked to stay at the Vilanova resort , we booked an apartment as was only the three of us . the room was basic but comfortable, air conditioning in living part bed room and on the balcony and we had a pool view which was great. The kitchen had fridge cooker microwave untensils an everythng else you needed. There was a maid service nearly every other day aswell which was helpful. The grounds around the pool and the resort was kept tidy and clean the pool was really nice and not to cold was just perfect to relax in. The resort is really well situated and is in middle of the strip perfect if your looking to be in middle of the place as you dont need to travel far. The night life is amazing really good try the second bar and mambo cafe which connects to savannha is also a really good night out.

All in all i loved my time here and didnt want to come home lol .

We stayed at The Vila Nova resort which is situated in very large grounds right in the heart of the Strip which is the main bar and restaurant area in Albufeira.

We stayed on a self-catering basis and as such found our room to be of adequate size for a family of four. The room was very clean and had everything we needed i.e cooker, microwave etc. The room was cleaned every 2 days and we had fresh towels every day.

The complex itself was very large with a huge swimming pool that had 3 diving boards (the kids loved that).

The restaurant in the grounds was closed for the duration of our stay (no idea why) but we did not find this a problem as we were so close to everything anyway.

The resort itself was very lively at night with plenty of bars and restaurants, but I wouldnt recommend people with young children staying out to late as after midnight it was fairly boisterous with the younger crowd in the bars.

Overall we really enjoyed our holiday and would go back there again.
